Licensing question - D365 Sales
HI!
I have licensing question regarding D365 Sales, I've been trying to get an answer from MS support, but no luck so far.
Our customer over last year changed their sales process in the CRM and is claiming right now that Team Members license is enough.
Their users are adding notes, activities, meetings and comments in relation with Account.
One place in the Licensing Guide there is an information that TM can not modify Account, therefore should not be able to make tasks, notes, meetings and other entities in connection with Account since it was always recognized as modifying it:
In second place there is an information that TM can “add or remove a connection (stakeholder, sales team) for an account or contact” but it does not specify in what scenarios does it work.
Account and activities related with Account were typically reserved exclusively for full users, but they found in Licensing Guide such point:
So the question is – are they eligible to make meeting, tasks, notes and other type of activities in connection with Account, based on Team Members license?

Hi AdamPL
Thank you for posting on the BizApps community
The snapshots that you've provided are for two different functions.
Your first snapshot is for Customer Service use rights to create, update, and delete a table for an account. The second snapshot is for Sales to remove a connection for an account.
The connection is used to integrate between Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales. That is not the same function as creating, updating, or deleting a table for an account.
When you review the full list of use rights, you'll find that both Sales & Customer Service read the same for use rights to create, update, and delete a table for an account:
Customer Service:

- AdamPLCopper ContributorHi!
Thank you a lot, you have clarified the difference between this two positions in the licensing guide!
But I do not have a clear answer to my question - are they eligible to make meeting, tasks, notes and other type of activities in connection with Account, based on Team Members license?- LicensingConcierge1Microsoft
