Customer Insights viral Trial and self-service trial

Hello. I was wondering if there a way to see the expiration date of trial licenses and a way to extend them?

We have 2 trials "Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Self-Service" (SkuId DYN365_BUSINESS_MARKETING/238e2f8d-e429-4035-94db-6926be4ffe7b) and "Dynamics 365 Customer Insights vTrial"(CUSTOMER_INSIGHTS_VIRAL/skuId/036c2481-aa8a-47cd-ab43-324f0c157c2d) but we cannot see any expiration date, just a message that one is about to expire, not sure which one. But in the AAD admin center, neither of them appear to be expiring soon.

When we contact support, they cannot provide any information as they are not showing up in the system.  I read somewhere that "vTrial" licenses don't expire - is this correct?

Also, does anyone know if either of these trials have both the CI-Data and CI-Journey functions?

Thanks in advance.

    Great questions!

Hello. I was wondering if there a way to see the expiration date of trial licenses and a way to extend them?

The D365 Customer Insights Trial can be extended the trial in the app directly & you're allowed to extend your trial only once after 23 days.

I read somewhere that "vTrial" licenses don't expire - is this correct?

I know that Business Central and one of the Power Platform products have viral trials, so yes viral trials do not expire, unless the prospect switches to the 30-day trial, and provided that users access Business Central frequently.

However, if you're asking if the Customer Insights Trial is considered a viral trial, my guess would be no based on the details of the trial in the link below.  However, you should confirm by emailing  DiscoverTryBuy@microsoft.com to inquire about viral trials.

Also, does anyone know if either of these trials have both the CI-Data and CI-Journey functions?

Most features of the Customer Insights capabilities are available in the trial.  However, the following features are not available:

    • You can't create new environments that use your own Azure Data Lake Storage account.
    • You can't delete the trial environment.
