Playing SCORM content in Viva Learning
Has anyone managed to successfully play SCORM content hosted in a SharePoint repository connected to Viva Learning from within the Viva Learning Teams interface? This article mentions SCORM v1.2 is supported so keen to hear if it has actively started working for people by now: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/viva-learning-blog/viva-learning-sharepoint-updates/ba-p/3554931SolvedParulAug 29, 2023Copper Contributor7.9KViews3likes13CommentsLinkedin Learning Enterprise Subscription & Viva Learning Integration
HI, All, My client has Linkedin Learning Subscription and wants to use Viva Learning as interface. Will users' learning progress in Viva Learning shown in Linkedin Learning?Vida_HsiaoJun 20, 2023Copper Contributor3.7KViews1like10CommentsRole of Knowledge Manager in Viva Learning
Hi, We don't use Viva Topics but are looking to role out Viva Learning. What is the significance of the Knowledge Manager (as it is in the set-up of Viva Learning in the admin portal) role for Viva Learning and how does it differ from the Knowledge Admin role. It appears that the Knowledge Admin cannot set Knowledge Managers and this has to be done by Global Admin? We are licensing a few premium users to begin with in order to create Learning Paths for consumption by all users.MarkSHUNov 01, 2023Copper Contributor1.2KViews0likes1CommentHow to retrieve learning Content details for the default sources using Microsoft Learning Graph APIs
Hi. I am working on a new project to integrate Viva Learning with PowerApps. My goal is to show all recommended courses to the users in the PowerApps application. I've been testing the Microsoft Graph List learningCourseActivities method and it is working as expected. The problem that I am facing is that for the learning sources enabled by default (LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft 365 Training, Microsoft Learn) the List learningCourseActivities method returns no value for learningProviderId. I've been trying to use List learningContents method in order to retrieve the Course details assigned to the user however this method requires learningProviderId as a mandatory parameter. I've tried to use NULL and empty values for learningProviderId but with no success. So far I've not been able to retrieve learning content details for the Viva Learning default sources. Is there a way to retrieve course details from default sources? Bellow you can find the response for a List learningCourseActivities method showing 2 courses from default source assigned to a user. { "@odata.context": "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#Collection(microsoft.graph.learningCourseActivity)", "value": [ { "id": "c946a1df-85be-4a78-957b-66bce7217219", "externalcourseActivityId": "2dae87aa-6ba7-4715-b23d-b34864e109db", "learningProviderId": "", "learningContentId": "30b62ea0-1362-4635-a506-3f32434c82a8", "learnerUserId": "bd618954-0d67-42eb-a779-7510ac60a6f7", "completionPercentage": null, "status": "notStarted", "completedDateTime": null }, { "id": "31ee06b3-8efb-4882-86ec-873d6063208c", "externalcourseActivityId": "115f1a79-972d-455b-8097-de492a421d95", "learningProviderId": "", "learningContentId": "6fd7023e-01f2-4413-ba99-f6014915e3f2", "learnerUserId": "bd618954-0d67-42eb-a779-7510ac60a6f7", "completionPercentage": null, "status": "notStarted", "completedDateTime": null } ] } Thank youridecast75Aug 20, 2023Copper Contributor682Views0likes2CommentsWill Viva Learning learning paths be able to have .aspx files in them in future?
Microsoft's documentation cites the following file types can be exposed in a learning path in Viva Learning when they are hosted on a SharePoint site and SharePoint has been added to Viva Learning as a content source:- • Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF • Audio (.m4a, .mp3) • Video (.mov, .mp4, .avi) Will .aspx files be added to this list in future so that SharePoint pages can exposed in Viva Learning learning paths too? Many people will have written training and informational content directly as SharePoint .asp pages. Not being able to expose these in Viva Learning is a major drawback to using Viva Learning currently. The work-around of having a Word doc or PowerPoint .ppt having links to SharePoint pages only works if users have a Viva Learning or Viva Suite licence. This is no consolation to us as our users don't have these licences.MaryHillSHUFeb 06, 2024Brass Contributor558Views0likes4CommentsViva Learning as an activity source
Hello, I'm exploring options to create a custom learning management system for my company. The first thing I would like to do is to pull data from Microsoft Viva Learning via the Microsoft Graph API, for example to see which courses the employees have completed. The next step will be to write that data on a SharePoint site. However, the https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/viva-learning-api-overview?view=graph-rest-1.0 described in the docs seem to implicate that the data should only flow from the LMS to Viva, and not in the opposite direction. Since Viva Learning has a UI for searching for and completing courses, I would like to use that activity data into my custom LMS. Is this use case possible and does it make sense? Thank you in advanceBrunoTronApr 26, 2024Copper Contributor475Views0likes1Comment
