Stuck on previous/older Insider version
Greetings, I'm on the Beta channel and my issue is that I can't update my version,'Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update (26220.7070) (repair version). When I run Windows Update it tells me I'm up to date but when I click on the Windows Insider Programme there is message which says "A newer build is available in Windows..." and "Not seeing a newer build?" I hit the button "Open Windows Update". When I do that and run the updater I'm told I'm up to date. AGAIN... I've tried all sorts of fixes, command scripts, WuReset2.0 Windows Trouble shooters don't work I don't really want to do a clean install, my machine is part of my digital audio workstation with tones of software (200+ plugins and libraries) which takes several days to put the whole thing together again. Thanks for any adviceSolvedMauri_Berg1945Mar 02, 2026Copper Contributor62Views0likes3CommentsSanDisk 1tb Extreme causing file explorer to not respond?
This is a Sandisk SDXC Extreme PRO 64 GB I tried on two PCs: one running W10, the other running W7, both with an internal drive. The checks I did: To check the operation of the (internal) drive, I have an old compact flash card: it works on both PCs. The SD card: nothing, on both PCs. When I remove the card, message from W10: F\: invalid directory. Nothing found on the InternetSolvedPherickFeb 09, 2026Copper Contributor99Views0likes5CommentsHow to move a file from one computer to another with the mouse?
I have two computers and I use Mouse without borders to be able to scroll between the two computers. the Logitech software which allows you to do a flow in the same way offers to copy and paste files between two computers but this does not work for me. In fact what I would like to know is if it was possible to move a file from one computer to another with the mouse with another software? THANKS!SolvedAmayaIFeb 09, 2026Bronze Contributor75Views0likes2CommentsExecuting a script when waking up from sleep on Windows PC
To compensate for a bug (bios? driver?) from my laptop, I would like to schedule a task when I wake up. Perhaps simpler when I open the session (with or without a password, when I wake up it does not ask me). Only I can't find anything in the task scheduler for that... "Unlocking the workstation" works if I do a Win+L for example, but as when waking up from sleep I do not have a password request (I arrive on the locked screen but a press on enter takes me to the office), it doesn't matter. That's it for the 1st question. For the 2nd (but I haven't taken the time to think about it yet since without this first point the 2nd is useless), I would like to make a script that cuts and turns the wifi back on (as if I were going to the menu at the bottom right, which I click on Wifi and which I click again once turned off to turn it back on). In fact my laptop has an Intel wifi card, and like many people I have a bug which means that my speed is filthy when waking up from sleep. I want to do all this **bleep** just to cut/turn on the wifi automatically when the computer comes out sleep...SolvedKeegan15Feb 08, 2026Iron Contributor84Views0likes2CommentsMy new laptop won't install Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update 26220.7535
Good evening, everyone. It's been days since I've been able to relax, it's been one offset after another. I'm still reeling from seeing my old laptop die last week. I'm typing now on a new laptop, and exhausted after reinstalling everything. I'm having trouble installing the latest build listed above, and I can't access Windows Update Troubleshooter without that malfunctioning either. I've tried several remedies but none of them have worked. I get errors saying the partition isn't big enough to accommodate this build, when I have plenty of space to spare on this laptop. I understand others are experiencing the same frustration with this. I do not want to do a fresh install and start from point zero again, I've been losing enough sleep at night. I tried looking for a manual download on the Microsoft Update Catalog, but I found nothing yet to match this upgrade. PLEASE help me get this installed.SolvedLupineAssassinJan 20, 2026Copper Contributor108Views0likes4CommentsPossible to transfer games from one pc to another without re-downloading?
My Windows 10 PC is retired and there are more than 100 games on this computer. I don't want to redownload the games as it could take days to complete and some of the apps are very large (more than 10GB.) It could be best if I could transfer games from one pc to another without re-downloading. I tried to manually copy them from USB drive and the speed is very slow. Hope someone could suggest a fast and reliable to transfer all my video and steam games from my old PC to another PC. Thank youSolvedDashielQuinnJan 16, 2026Iron Contributor1KViews0likes8CommentsWindows 11 updates fail every single day.
System updates frequently fail (attempted daily but consistently unsuccessful). Basic troubleshooting has been attempted without resolution. The root cause of the update failures must be identified, and a viable solution to permanently disable Windows Updates is required.SolvedZepFluousJan 02, 2026Iron Contributor93Views0likes3CommentsHow to download songs on spotify for free from my computer?
Alright, I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. I have Spotify Premium, and everyone says you can download stuff for offline listening, but I can't figure out where the button is. I'm about to be on a flight with no wifi and desperately need to get my playlists saved. Help a confused soul out. What’s the exact step-by-step to download songs on spotify? Do I download whole playlists, or can I do individual songs/albums? I tapped around the app but just don’t see a clear "download" toggle. Thanks in advance for any simple instructions. You’ll be saving my long flight from being completely music-less. I promise I have Premium, so I should have the feature!SolvedElliottHayesDec 14, 2025Iron Contributor7.6KViews0likes9CommentsI need to download-Spotify podcasts to MP3 on my Win 11
I’m using Spotify a lot lately for long podcast episodes, and I’d really like to save some of them as MP3 files on my Windows 11 PC so I can listen offline and organize them myself. I know Spotify doesn’t officially support exporting or downloading podcasts as MP3, so I’m a bit confused about what’s actually possible and what’s just shady clickbait. Has anyone here found a practical way to record or save full podcast episodes from Spotify on Win 11? Ideally something that: keeps the audio quality decent is simple enough to use regularly If you’ve got a setup that works (software, settings, any limits or caveats), I’d really appreciate it if you could share how you do it.SolvedAlexBlytheNov 25, 2025Iron Contributor3.1KViews0likes10CommentsCan you download songs from spotify on my pc or mac?
Hi all, I've been using Spotify a lot recently on my Windows PC and iMac, and I really enjoy listening to playlists while working. But sometimes I don't have a stable internet connection, so I want to figure out how to download songs from spotify directly to my PC or Mac. I know the mobile app has an offline mode, but not sure how it works on computers or whether the downloaded files are usable outside the Spotify app. Right now, I can play everything normally, but I can't find a way to save the songs as regular audio files for offline listening on other devices. Could someone explain if downloading Spotify music on a computer is actually possible and what the proper steps or tools might be?SolvedOakleyCruzNov 20, 2025Iron Contributor2.2KViews0likes9Comments
