Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue with the Microsoft Store. I am unable to download new apps or update existing ones. Every time I try, I receive the following error message: Error code: 0x800706D9 I have already tried the following steps: Restarted my PC Signed out and signed back into the Microsoft Store Ran the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter However, the problem still persists. I am currently using Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.6982 and I am part of the Windows Insider Program. Could anyone please help me understand what causes this error and how to fix it? Thank you in advance for your help.37Views0likes1CommentAdvanced Startup Cannot Navigate, No Cursor After Updates
After recent Windows updates, when I went in to Advanced Startup to run Troubleshoot, my cursor was missing and the keyboard arrow buttons didn't even work! Unable to navigate in the there at all. Is there a Fix for this? The only way to escape the page is to hold down the Power button on Tower! It's annoying. On the Advanced Startup blue screen (not bluescreen BOD!). Here's a thread on the topic I'm not the only one! https://www.reddit.com/r/pchelp/comments/1o6xxpf/windows_11_advanced_startup_not_working/ Thanks.85Views0likes2CommentsWindow's update installation problem

We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet. I am running Windows 11 Pro 24H2 enrolled to Windows Insider release preview. I am getting the error message which I provided ahead. I reached out Widnows technical chat support, they referred me here as they do not support Windows 11 insider build. They performed sfc/dism, restarted windows update service, I downloaded Windows 11 ISO 25H2 but the option keep files and programs is greyed out as I am running Insider build and I wanted to keep my files and programs too. Please provide fixes for my version now.15Views0likes0CommentsWindows 11 Insider Preview Update Progress Issue
I tried to update and install one Windows update, but it keeps on showing as 0% or 8% and it is not progressing after 8%. I tried necessary trouble shooting steps like pausing the update for some time and then trying again. But it didn't work out. The update that I trying to update and install is "Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (KB5067103) (26220.6780)" It shall be great if anyone respective person can assist me with this issue.101Views1like3CommentsQuestion about Microsoft Support Structure
My Surface Pro 9 needs what I think is an easy firmware repair. Is it possible to avoid shipping it to Microsoft? The part of the firmware that contains the SKU Model Number is corrupt. It shows as "OEMLO Product" instead of Surface Pro 9. That part of the firmware is protected. It can only be accessed by a Microsoft employee using internal tools and physical access to the Surface Pro. Microsoft Device Support offers only a mail-in program, which would mean a lot of work for everyone that's probably not necessary. I don't know much about Microsoft support structure. So I don't know if it's flexible enough for a kind-hearted employee with access to the right tools to fix this. I live near several large Microsoft facilities in the Washington DC area. I think it's a quick easy repair. It could save me and Microsoft Device Support a lot of work that's probably unnecessary. The corruption may have occurred either as a result of participation in the Windows Insider program or during a Surface Pro 9 firmware update in late August 2025. The absence of a valid SKU Model Number prevents Microsoft's driver package from repairing drivers. It also prevents both business and consumer versions of the Surface Diagnostic tool from running. Meanwhile the SMF Core Driver is not loading. I could probably fix that with the correct driver package, but the driver package won't run without the correct SKU number. Otherwise, the Surface works fine. So I can afford to wait until December 2025 to send in for a complete overhaul. That's when I'll be able to lose access to it for an extended time. The rest of the firmware seems to be okay. Other than the SKU model number the information, including the serial number, appears correct.41Views0likes0CommentsDoes Surface Diagnostic Toolkit fail to recognize my Surface because of its Insider OS version?
My Surface Pro 9 Surface "SMF Core Driver" does not load. In troubleshooting it, I discovered Surface Diagnostic Toolkit does not recognize my hardware as a Surface device, and the downloadable driver package will not install for the same reason. Is any of this a consequence of my having the current Insider Release Preview OS?59Views0likes2Comments
