Hi everyone! Is it possible to make Microsoft Edge Dev my default browser? Every time I try to change it through Windows 10 "default app" settings, the settings window keeps crashing and nothing changes. Any idea how to solve it? Hi, will start describing the situation. My pc is very old, its a gygabyte GA-Z270-HD3P. I want to use it again since i7 is quite decent even for 2022. The issue is i stopped using it because of some unkown issue no one ever helped me with, now when i restarted it, it keeps giving me this error: exception scope invalid or Kmode exception not handled after saying "preapring for automatic repair". I thought "okay, lets just install windows from 0 using a USB drive". However the result, with both windows 11 and windows 10 is "unsupported processor". I have not found ANY issue stating that windows 10 cant be installed on my CPU, and even though there are many vids and threads helping install on unsuported CPUs, i cant even do that since i cant get out of bios.....Its in a constant loop of restarting itself, entering repair, and giving the error. Does anyone have any idea how i might solve this? Thank you2.2KViews1like4CommentsCumulative update KB5001391 fails to Install

Hi I have just bought a new Windows 10 Pro laptop for work as a freelance IT Consultant and I figured this would be good time adopt some of the latest best practices, pertinent to securing my machine. Given, this machine is also for personal use, so I am looking to balance convenience against security and privacy in the event of loss or theft. I have found some extensive posts on the subject including the one shown below: https://www.infoworld.com/article/3121994/security/lockdown-harden-windows-10-for-maximum-security.html I would however, like to hear any comments anyone has: from bitlocker and beyond....Solved154KViews1like32CommentsStart button not working
I am running Windows Home Insider Preview with Evaluation copy. Build 17025.rs_prerelease.171020-1626. Since yesterday the start button and the search button don't work so I am unable to access the insider hub to tell Microsoft of the problem. Other buttons on the taskbar also don't work - Notification button on the right, Search button, but the most important is the Start button. To shut down last night I had to use Crtl+ Alt+Del and this morning found it had started up again overnight. How do I tell Microsoft about this error?1.5KViews1like4Comments
