I have added a new App to Teams. The app displays our intranet. But when pressing the back button to navigate to the previous intranet page, Teams switches back to the previous Teams module (for example Chat or Calendar). So Teams has back/forward buttons at the top but it looks like it is for the Teams functionalities. Is there an option to navigate back on an embedded website?2.4KViews2likes1CommentTeams pulls up main window after switching application windows during a meeting
I hope I can explain this properly, please let me know if it isn't clear. OS: macOS Sonoma Teams version: 24277.3502.3161.3007 When I am in a Teams call, I will often need to temporarily switch windows to Chrome or another application. When I tab back to the Teams call, the Main Teams window will pop up on top of the call, which requires me to minimize it in order to view the call window. I haven't been able to find a setting that addresses this specifically. Simplified steps: Join a Teams call from the the primary Teams window or Outlook calendar Switch applications to something else - Slack, Chrome, etc. Click the Teams icon in the dock The Teams call will take focus The Teams main window automatically pops up overlays the call, hiding it Thanks in advance for your help and please let me know if there is anything I can clarify.2.3KViews32likes17CommentsTeam call handling - option to redirect calls if there is no answer
Dear Community To prevent calls from being dropped when the Teams client is offline, we have set the global calling policy 'Voicemail for inbound calls' to 'On' (AllowVoicemail: AlwaysEnabled in PowerShell CsTeamsCallingPolicy). With this setting enabled, incoming calls to users who are not logged in to a client are forwarded to their voicemail. Until recently (1-2 month?) users had the option to set the rule "When you can't answer a call" and "Ring for this many seconds before redirecting" in the Teams client. Now, only the 'Ring for this many seconds before redirecting' option is shown, and sometimes even that setting is unavailable. We cannot rule out an issue with the Teams client; however, resetting the app does not help at the moment. Reversing the entry on the calling policy 'Voicemail for inbound calls' to 'Let users decide' does solve the issue in the Teams client. However, depending on the user's configuration, calls may be dropped if the user is offline. According to Microsoft's documentation, this is an expected behaviour; however, the user should not be able to change the redirection time (fixed to thirty seconds). https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoftteams/set-csteamscallingpolicy -AllowVoicemail Enables inbound calls to be routed to voicemail. Valid options are: AlwaysEnabled: Calls are always forwarded to voicemail on unanswered after ringing for thirty seconds, regardless of the unanswered call forward setting for the user. AlwaysDisabled: Calls are never routed to voicemail, regardless of the call forward or unanswered settings for the user. Voicemail isn't available as a call forwarding or unanswered setting in Teams. UserOverride: Calls are forwarded to voicemail based on the call forwarding and/or unanswered settings for the user. What is the recommended policy setting for 'Voicemail for inbound calls' and how can we ensure that incoming calls are transferred to voicemail when the user is offline, while still enabling them to set 'When you can't answer a call'? Many thanks.65Views0likes1CommentSuggestion: Add a "Soft Dark Mode" or Adjustable Theme Option in Microsoft Teams
I appreciate the availability of both light and dark modes in Microsoft Teams, but I find both extremes uncomfortable for daily use. The dark mode is too intense and high-contrast, while the light mode feels too bright, especially in low-light environments. It would be incredibly helpful to have a "Soft Dark Mode" or a customizable theme option that allows users to adjust brightness, contrast, or even choose from a range of softer color palettes. This would improve accessibility and comfort for users who spend long hours in Teams. Is this something Microsoft is considering for future updates? I believe many users would benefit from a more flexible visual experience.20Views0likes0CommentsHow do I get accurate dates for messages?
On a regular basis, Teams will show messages that are as old as a week ago as being sent "today". Is there a way of actually ensuring that the date is correct, or should this just be expected behavior? I tell you, I really miss Skype at this point. I don't know how Microsoft can mess up this badly on a chat program.25Views0likes0CommentsUpdate caused pasted text to automatically highlight
The recent update to the "new" Teams as made it so that anytime I copy text on a website and paste it into chat it auto-highlights the text. This has added an annoying step in my process when I communicate long complex contract numbers to have to un-highlight everything I type after the paste. I would just like to find a way to go back to where I could copy text from the browser and paste it with it being plain text.6.1KViews3likes12CommentsChat window opens on top of meeting window when clicking on Teams icon in dock (MacOS)
When I'm on a Teams video call and I'm working on another app, if I click the Teams icon in the MacOS dock, it brings up the Teams chat window on top of the Teams video call window. So I have to minimise the chat window to see the video window. This is because there is a separate window for chats as for a video meeting (and yes I have checked my settings and I have selected that new chats and incoming notifications are opened in the main window, not a new separate window) I can't even resize the chat window so that even if it's on top it's small because of this window resizing bug. That would have been a nice workaround.2.8KViews21likes13CommentsNo longer a prompt to enter file names in Teams
Did Microsoft change the default way new files are created/opened in Teams? Previously if you created a new excel template file while in Teams you would be prompted to enter the name of the file immediately. Now it auto generates Book1 as the name and opens in a separate webpage. I have many flows that rely on the name of the file being set at creation and this is messing everything up.267Views1like4Comments
