Custom Background In MS Teams
UPDATED It looks like this is in the process of being rolled out or at least actively tested. If you have the version with the option to select a background image, custom images can be added. Save your image /s in the Uploads folder below C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads Then, in teams while on a call; click the 'More Actions' (Three Dots) at the bottom, select 'Show Background Effects' The pictures you added should show up on the right hand side of the screen with the default options from Microsoft. I tend to share urls for documents that are in Team channels in chats, in planner, and for documenting work in meeting minutes. I would REALLY like to have a url shortening option to do this. If there is a workaround (outside of going to an external site) it would be great. If I am using teams non-intuitively, I´d also be open to suggestions.
How to set a reminder in Teams
hi All, when I send an e-mail, I often " attach" a reminder to it because I would like to be reminded of my e-mail in order to check if the recipient has gotten back to me. This allows me to shoot but not forget 🙂 As teams is gaining ground in our organisation I'm trying to find similar feature as I'm not able to keep track of posts by just scrolling through them every time... https://youtu.be/GL360ot95YE I read an article in the news last week about a viral TikTok video that was urging people to be careful what they share with colleagues in Teams chat because employers can see all chat messages and chat history. As a result, I decided to create a video answering the question: Can your employer view your Microsoft Teams chat history? Spoiler alert: the answer is Yes. However, as I explain in the video, this capability is typically only used when an employer has a reason to use it and more often than not these reasons tend to be extraordinary (i.e. Investigations of unethical behaviour, whistleblower complaints, allegations or harassment or other). Further, I also explain the types of controls and processes that are put in place to govern this capability and ensure its not misused. Lastly, in the latter part of the video I also demonstrate how an employer can view your chat history as its nowhere near as simple as "pull up someone's instance of Microsoft Teams and look through there chats".
