Hi, I've created a SharePoint site and I want to save it as a template, so any future SharePoint sites could use this template to start. From the following link, it mentions how I could save the site as a template: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/general-development/save-download-and-upload-a-sharepoint-site-as-a-template However when I went to the "Site Settings" section, the "Save Site as a Template" link is missing. Under "Site Actions" are only these links: I did some investigation and the following link mentions a couple of reasons why I may not see these links: https://sharepointmaven.com/2-reasons-why-you-cannot-save-site-as-template-in-sharepoint/ However I don't have publishing features enabled and custom scripts are allowed at the tenant level. I am seeing all these online companies out there offering fancy and nice looking SharePoint Intranet templates, however, most of them come with a hefty price tag. Is there anyway to create custom templates in house? Is there a special program to use or programming langauge? I see these templates that have "customized web parts" not just out-of-the-box web parts and designs. Hi. I have a requirement to display the Document ID column value in a Document Template that is used across different site collections in SharePoint Online. The Document ID service is enabled for all site collections. If I add the Quick Part in Word for the Document ID on the template, it only works for document created from the template in that Site Collection, however I need it to work in multiple collections. I currently have other custom SharePoint properties working by adding them to a new content type in the content type hub, however I can't seem to add Document ID to this content type. I am putting together specs for a site's page template, layout, etc. The one that's in place resizes dynamically based on the window size and screen resolution. The problem is the way it resizes the columns and the amount of wasted white space. These are approximate: Laptop Monitor: 1366x768 resolution Three Column layout: - left column: 20% = 273px (100 for content + 173 for white space) - right column: 20% = 273px (100 for content + 173 for white space) - center column: 60% = 820px (780ish for content + 40ish for white space between left/right) External Monitor: 1680x1050 resolution (assuming window is maximized) Three Column layout: - left column: 20% = 336px (100px for content + 236px for white space) - right column: 20% = 336px (100px for content + 236px for white space) - center column: 60% = 1008px (950px for content + 50ish for white space between left/right) To an extreme (for large external monitors): Three Column layout (3000px wide) - left column: 20% = 600px (100px for content + 500px for white space) - right column: 20% = 600px (100px for content + 500px for white space) - center column: 60% = 1800px (1700px for content + 100ish for white space between left/right) As you can see from the extreme display, 1/3 of the screen is now wasted white space. What I want is: Left Col = 100px content + 50px white space to the left Right Col = 100px content + 50px white space to the right Padding between Center column and outside columns = 25px each side Then, the remaining space = Center column content. So: 1) 1366px wide = 150px each for left/right columns + 25px per side padding = 1016px for center column 2) 1650px wide = 150px each for left/right columns + 25px per side padding = 1300px for center column 3) 3000px wide = 150px each for left/right columns + 25px per side padding = 2650px for center column Is this something that can be done? Basically I'm anchoring the left/right columns to the edge of the window and the center column adjusting to the remaining width. Is it a simple XML script? Is it a SharePoint Designer setting? Hi Everyone, In January we ran the Add-SPOOrgAssetsLibrary officetemplatelibrary powershell command. Like many tenants it took over 48 hours to work, but in the end when I open Word, click new, click Tenant name, I can see the docx files in the SharePoint library specified in the powershell command. Great our users of Word Desktop can see the templates and use them. So can our Excel and PowerPoint users. BUT Word Online users can't see the OfficeTemplate library when they open a new document from https://www.office.com/launch/word They can see all the publicly visible templates but not our OfficeTemplate library as a folder. NOTE PowerPoint online users DO see the OfficeTemplates library as a folder when they start a new presentation from https://www.office.com/launch/powerpoint QUESTION Does anyone have the OfficeTemplate library folder in Word or Excel online yet ?
