I keep Microsoft Teams open at all times. Sometimes when I have Teams minimized, I will show as offline to my coworkers. I won't receive any notifications of messages from any Teams and/or Chats, even if I am @'d. If I open the Teams window from my task-bar, it will show the offline symbol for everyone briefly, before eventually showing everyone's status correctly (and mine to everyone else). My Teams notification settings are setup as attached:Solved51KViews1like9CommentsAllow disabling "away" status, for privacy reasons
The fact that I'm working on my pc or not is a privacy-critical information. Thus, there should be an option to disable this auto-detection and force the status to online. (or online/busy autodetection depending on your calendar)9.9KViews0likes6CommentsStatus "in a call"
When I'm about to call someone using teams, I always check wether they are in a call. If they are in a call, I wait to call them. To check wether someone is in a call, I mouseover the 'status-dot' next to their userpicture. It would be nice if the status-dot could be improved, so that I could see that someone is in a call without having to mouseover to see the info. For example by having a small phone icon next to the status-dot when their status is 'in a call'.3.3KViews0likes1CommentFeature request: Option to disable the green check mark on desktop icons
This is a copy of https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/c6ed0cc0-7957-ed11-a81b-000d3a7e4185 (I wrote that post first, but now I found this forum, which is more appropriate I think, since I'm using OneDrive for Business) My employer ship Win11 with OneDrive pre-configured to backup my Desktop (and more) to OneDrive. For performance, and if I'm offline, I've selected that all files and folders I keep on the Desktop should always be available on my device. Now my desktop looks like crap! Every icon now has an annoying little green dot on them. This sync status information on the icons is not important to me. In fact, it just bothers me. I already know all of the files/folders are always available on my machine. I don't need/want this visual reminder. I'm requesting a new option in the OneDrive settings, where I can configure OneDrive to not add the green check mark (nor the white cloud) to icons. For example, you could add: (*) Show the current sync status as a small badge on top of the icon ( ) Do not show the sync status as a badge on the icon ( ) Do not show the green badge on icons for always available files The first option is how it works today. In the second option, the user would like to opt out entirely from having OneDrive status-badges on top of icons. That is, completely stop OneDrive from messing with the icons. In the third option, only green badges are "muted", the rest work as normal. That is, files that don't have the always-available-on-device-attribute, will show the white little cloud badge, etc. But for files that are always-available, no green dot is added. PS: I'm only annoyed by the ugly badges on top of my icons. When I browse my files/folders in Explorer, then I'm totally fine with the Status column, indicating the sync status as per usual. This column should remain as-is.3.1KViews0likes2CommentsStatus Information not show or if click x icon, not show again
Dear Community! How can we disable "Status of" as a worker, if someone post a status? If I change from "Teams" to "Chats" i see it always, even if I "x" it before and close it. It´s very interrupting, if I still see it, when I want to type a message. Thanks and Kind Regards, TobisSolved2.5KViews1like3Commentscan't see person's status message (busy, in a meeting, in a call, etc.)
for several months, myself and other colleagues have not been able to see someone's status in the chat window. we can see if they are green, red, yellow but can't see their actual status message (in a meeting, in a call, busy). this is incredibly frustrating as we dont want to interrupt someone if they're in a meeting/call, but we can't see it until we actually message them. some people have workarounds (i am able to see their status message if i pop out the chat) but it seems like a lot of people are having this issue. anyone else?2.5KViews1like1CommentChange status to DND if user is "in a meeting"
I work in a company with highly confidential documents and materials. Therefore the protection of this IP is pretty important. Since IP can be exposed with the Teams pop-ups, these are pretty problematic in our situation. This is not an issue if you present something in virtual Teams meetings (because you automatically get the DND status if you share anything), but since there are a lot of meetings already happening again in physical form and there were a couple of incidents (people mirroring their screen on a TV/beamer, being "only" busy - in a meeting and they got some interesting messages as pop-ups in the middle of the meeting), which lead to the inquiry of the security manager to disable pop-ups from Teams alltogether. Since I cannot control the pop-ups itself, I would be able to set the status of the users right? And the least invasive method would be to use the calender status of the user to use it as an indicator if he's in a meeting or not. And if he's in a meeting I would be able to change the status to DND and not only busy, right? Any other ideas are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.1.9KViews0likes3CommentsBug: Auto-set status to 'do not disturb' when on a conference call & presenting on secondary monitor
Hello, in Skype for Business there is a different behaviour in my status while presenting depending on if I present on primary or secondary monitor. In 99% of the cases I am presenting the secondary monitor. In this case my status doesn't automatically change to "Do not disturb". If I present my primary monitor the status changes automatically to "Do not disturb" which suppresses any disturbing call or message coming in while presenting. I do not understand why there should be a difference in auto-setting my status depending on the type of screen which I am presenting... IMHO status only depends on whether I present or not - independent from the screen. Is this a known issue and any hint if there is a fix coming soon? Thanks for your ideas. Note: I am asking for the auto-set option, of course I can each and every time set it manually - this is not what I want to do, especially as there is an automatic option available - just not working correctly.1.8KViews0likes0Comments
