sharing

I have an issue which seems to only be affecting one use, core symptom being she can not add calendar entries to a calendar that has been shared with her with the permission level of editor. Background - the users 2013 Outlook Client suddenly started showing disconnected/connected to the exchange and as such could not send/receive emails. After some troubleshooting, I eventually just removed the profile and readded it, no problem. Upon trying to add the shared calendar in question back to her OUtlook client she could no longer add entries to the calendar. I also found that this was the same for OWA. For the sake of troubleshooting I've removed the Outlook client and am just testing in OWA. As the user in question I can add entries without error, but as soon as they add they instantly disappear. I can edit entries with out error, but on a refresh the changes I have made to an entry revert back. I had confirmed permissions are there in Powershell, removed, re-added, given higher permissions and so forth, all with no luck. The one difference with the user to all others is they are using an Alias as their primary address, however, this has always been the case and it has worked fine. I also confirm there doesn't seem to be any duplicate entries for the permissions on the calendar, adding permissions in Powershell using the users primary alias, other address, username etc. all result in the permissions applying to the one correct user.4.5KViews0likes1CommentCalendar Sharing Issue Hybrid Office 365 - Downloading Calendar Entries
We are a large organization with a hybrid configuration setup and in the process of migrating users to 365. We are federated and use ADFS for true SSO. For calendar sharing to work between local exchange user and EXO user, a calendar sharing invite must be sent and accepted. We have had this set up for a while but recently got a call where this took place between an on premise user whose calendar has over 9200 entries. She has been here for years. She sent a calendar sharing invite to an EXO user and they accepted, the calendar displays in outlook like it should but the entries are taking forever to populate. If you go into list view, you can see it download around 2000 entries fairly quickly from years ago but then it just stops downloading them unless you click on the calendar (in list view) and it will download some more and then stop. You can repeat that process and it will continue but only at this rate it would take many hours of doing this. I have had Outlook sitting in this list view on her calendar since yesterday and its only at 3459 entries of 9200+. Same results show in OWA as well. We tried this on another user who had a ton of entries and same issue. If we try on user with not too many entries, it downloads those no issue. Fiddler traces show the refresh calendar call being made successfully every so often. No errors. Has anyone experienced this behavior before and know of any solution?3.6KViews0likes4CommentsSome External Users "no results found" in Permissions
Got a weird one that doesn't make sense to me. Got a client tenant in O365 with some external and internal users. I go to O365 admin, I see the external users. I go to SharePoint site collection user info list, I SEE the external users. Users have been granted permission via sharing via email address, they accepted and have permission to the site. When we go to either an Assigned To field or Add user to group dialog, no matter how you search for SOME external users, you get "no results found". Again, they are in O365 users and in the current site collection user info list. What's weird is for an Assigned To field, type ahead doesn't work but if I just type the name and hit resolve, it finds it. Other external users can be found via type ahead just fine. I've dumped the user list from O365 users admin and compared all the values, one of that is visible and one that's not, there are no differences. Am I crazy? Any ideas?5.4KViews0likes7CommentsAdding a user or sending download link
Hi, Simple question. Got Office 365 under a charity license. I want to let a user download the office product to their PC but not have access to any of the files/cloud etc. I have 4 more slots available for download. If I send a download link, does the user get the complete office on their PC without having any login details or access to my documents? Thanks.Solved17KViews0likes8CommentsSharepoint online display externally shared files from all teamsites
Hi all, I am looking for a way to display all externally shared files for all sharepoint online (team)sites. So for one site I know you how to achieve this by going to the SharePoint site -> Site Usage -> Site Contents. Or https://tenantname.sharepoint.com/sites/AdministratieControl/_layouts/15/siteanalytics.aspx?view=19 But how do I get this info for 100+ sites at once? Cheers! I am wondering how I can use 365 to do things that I was planning to do on my website, such a member's forum, video and documents. Is there a Publisher equivelant in MS 365? I want to make printable (PDF) books. Can I use Sway presentations on my Wordpress Website? Do those that I invite to my 365 products have to have MS 365 subscription accounts to access? Can MS Stream videos be used on my website? Can I invite non MS Stream users to view my videos in Stream?1.1KViews0likes1CommentPrinter shortcut to Sharepoint Document
Hi My Lexmark CX517 printer supports http "Shortcuts" - so that staff can reprint commonly used documents at the touch of a button on the printer, without the need for a device. I want to maintain these documents in Sharepoint Online. I have tried to enter the URL of an anonymously shared Sharepoint document into the printer. But as the link doesn't return the actual document (it redirects and presents it in a web view) - the printer cannot access it. Is there any way for a remote unauthenticated device to gain direct file access to a shared file? Thanks Travis803Views0likes0CommentsCan't share a file in Excel or Word
Hello. We are unable to share Excel or Word documents that are stored in SharePoint Online. When we open them in the desktop app and click the Share button at the top of the window, then enter some names of colleagues, it just sits there searching: Can anyone help with this please? We use a proxy server in work (Sophos SG UTM) but it also fails at home when bypassing the proxy. Everything looks to be OK with AADC and searching for users elsewhere in Office 365 works fine. It seems to be broken for all users. Any suggestions welcome please.2.2KViews0likes1Comment
