6 TopicsStack a SharePoint Library Sync
Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has worked out how to stack SharePoint library sync's? Basically, we want to be able to perform syncs based on groups, and then if you're in more than one group, you get more than one sync. Instead at the moment, we see that we have to do a dozen different configuration profiles to satisfy all of the different group matchups? It's been like this for years, has there been any progress to try and give us a better solution?316Views0likes1CommentSharePoint - Automatically Sync SharePoint Sites users previously had
We want to have Sharepoint sites automatically resynced to the file explorer when a user's PC is reset or they have a new PC. There is an administrative template, but the URL has to be pre-noted but we have a lot of sharepoint sites that certain users only have access to. Is there a way for Sharepoint sites to resync on their own when a PC is enrolled based on what the user used to have? We do have OneDrive sync enabled on the PCs but we just need the folders to automatically appear in file explorer.419Views0likes1CommentOneDrive - Configure team site libraries to sync automatically
Hi, i would like to use the possibility to sync SharePoint libraries automatically. Therefore I've already created a new profile (type: administrative template) and set the "Configure team site libraries to sync automatically" setting. (Enabled, a Display Name, and the Value) I've found out the library ID as described here via "copy library id" within a SharePoint website. (Click on "syncronize" and then select "copy library id". At my administrative templates profile i've put the whole string copied before into the value. Unfortunately this isn't working. The profile is applied correctly, but the OneDrive client isn't syncronizing. That's why i dived deeper into the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive At this point I've found the applied setting, so the client is receiving this setting. By the way: I also tried converting the string i got from the "copy library id" as i was told to here. Any idea, why this isn't working? We are considering a CAP that blocks access to Sharepoint/OneDrive from non-Compliant devices via a Client Application, to prevent Sync of documents to unencrypted devices. We have a concern that this policy would block collaboration with third parties using Teams, as they would be unable to comply with the CAP (and probably be unable to authorise the InTune agent on their device). We intend only to block Sync activities, but our testing indicates that this policy blocks access by Teams to the channel. This doesnt seem like an unusual requirement and we want to extend our use of Teams for third party collaboration. Is there any way of either registering a third party device as 'trusted' for InTune purposes without downloading the InTune agent, or designing a CAP that blocks only the Sync operations of Sharepoint/OneDrive, so that Teams is unaffected ?Solved4.2KViews0likes3CommentsHow to exclude Teams from conditional access
I want to only allow users to use Teams and Outlook apps on their smartphones. So I create 2 Condition Access to achieve it. One is forbidden all cloud apps exclude Teams and Outlook. One is to allow users to use Teams and outlook with the client app. Now Outlook can work well but Teams can't access. Is there has someone who knows how to solve this problem? By the way, there has a requirement that doesn't allow the user use the app in their smartphone except for Teams and Outlook.Solved8.1KViews0likes1CommentDevice Limit - OneDrive - Configure team site libraries to sync automatically
Is there a plan or workaround to expand the 1000 device limit for the libraries? Creating multiple policies for different departments or libraries is not ideal if a user has to access other departments information (since two policies cannot be applied to the same user due to policy conflict).1.8KViews0likes0Comments
