194 TopicsROBOCOPY and UGREEN NAS DH2300
I was editing data when I noticed that my Network Attached Storage (NAS) hard drives were thrashing. Technically, that is what is supposed to happen when configured to update 'real time'. I have been a long-time user of a batch file to execute ROBOCOPY. It is clean and efficient, one of the better items Microsoft has created. Go figure, right? Anyway, being who I am and what I have done in my career, I got the idea to edit in Windows on two separate NVME hard drives (much data and large files) then execute a batch file to run ROBOCOPY. This consolidated all data onto one spin-drive in my Windows PC. The first time I did this, my DH2300 NAS was active. All configured SYNC and BACKUP tasks indicated 'BAD' and would not execute. I had to delete the NAS tasks and recreate them. After several attempts and recreations, I thought that I might shutdown the UGREEN NAS DH2300, run the Windows PC batch file for ROBOCOPY, then start the UGREEN NAS back up in order for the UGREEN NAS Client Sync & Backup app to 'do its thing'. WRONG! All tasks indicated 'BAD' again. I've made it a practice to delete the NAS Tasks after running Windows ROBOCOPY then recreating all seven NAS tasks. Only then will these properly execute. Would anyone have any idea as to what is going on to cause this? I've asked on UGREEN's FB resource page, and they are suggesting that it is a ROBOCOPY issue (Pass-the-buck = EASY). I suppose that's possible, BUT I've used ROBOCOPY for YEARS. It skips over any unchanged file and only changes/updates files when changed. Still, I must ask.8Views0likes0CommentsLooking for a way to make adult content extremely difficult to access on my Windows 11 laptop
Hello everyone, I know this is an unusual question, but I sincerely hope someone here can help me. I am an 18-year-old student who has been struggling with an addiction to adult content for the past four years. I have been trying very hard to overcome it, and at one point I was able to stay away from it for almost a year. Unfortunately, since last October, I have relapsed and have been trying everything I can think of to prevent myself from accessing this content again. So far, I have tried: Changing my IPv4 and IPv6 DNS settings to family-safe filtering services. Editing the hosts file to block websites. Using various website blockers and parental control tools. Trying different software restrictions and browser-based solutions. The problem is that I am the one who configured all of these. When I experience a strong urge, I already know exactly how to disable or bypass every restriction because I set it up myself. Unfortunately, I cannot ask my parents or anyone close to me for help. Discussions about topics like this are extremely difficult in my family, and I don't feel comfortable involving them. Because of that, I'm trying to find a technical solution that I cannot easily undo on my own. I'm not asking how to bypass restrictions—I want the exact opposite. I am looking for the strongest possible Windows-based solution that makes it as difficult as possible for me to access adult content, even if I know a lot about computers. Are there any Windows features, account configurations, Group Policy settings, security options, or other methods that could make these restrictions significantly harder to remove? Even if they are not completely impossible to bypass, I would like something that requires so much effort that it gives me time to stop and reconsider. Any advice or suggestions would mean a great deal to me. This has become a serious personal struggle, and I am doing everything I can to overcome it because I genuinely believe my future depends on breaking this habit. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post.30Views0likes0CommentsMetrics in Training Service Partner dashboard still shows not started
our TSP was on-boarded some months before, and it has now been more than some months since we started delivering training courses. We received the welcome email, completed all required formalities, and have delivered some trainings, and learners redeemed the achievement codes, and completed the surveys in MTM. All of these sessions appear correctly in, MTM surveys, and related dashboards. However, in Partner Center it still shows “Not Started.” Could you guys please review this and help us understand why the status has not updated? I renewed my subscription for MCT earlier this year but recently noticed that my visual studio benefits is not active. What i have is MCT subscription that has expired date of 23/May/2025 instead of Feb 2027. I reach out to VSS support, they mentioned that my subscription was removed for the benefits and they redirected me to MCT support via Pearson. Pearson sent me back to VSS support and it has been back and forth for a while. Does anyone have idea how to resolve this.31Views0likes1CommentForza Horizon 6 Microsft Issues

I have a Word Doc with an embedded Excel sheet. After I add rows to the sheet, the Word Doc cuts off the new rows. I tried stretching it in the Word Doc, but that doesn't work, the Excel sheet just gets stretched. I've changed the print area and cleared the print area in the Excel file. I unhid all the rows as well. I've searched Google and here and I couldn't find an answer. Is the Word Doc or Excel sheet I'm working on corrupted? I've attached some screenshots.166Views0likes1CommentPosts/Answers not appearing- submitted but not visible to me and other users
Hi together, I've been actively contributing to the Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Security discussion categories over the past 3 weeks. My profile counter shows 9 posts, but I can only see one of them in my Recent Discussions list - the other ones are completely inaccessible, not just to other community members, but also to me. I cannot view, edit, or manage them in any way. The posts cover technical practitioner topics and I put significant time and effort into writing these as quality contributions for the community. My concern is that I have no way to tell what happened to these posts. There were no notifications about rejection, no indication that they're pending moderation, and no way to check their status. They simply don't appear anywhere except as a number on my profile. I completely understand the need for content moderation, especially for newer accounts. But without any feedback mechanism, I'm unable to determine whether I should wait, resubmit, or change something about how I'm posting. Could someone from the community team look into my account and help me understand what's going on with these missing posts? I'd really appreciate any guidance so I can continue contributing. Thank you!Solved120Views0likes2CommentsD365 Licensing vs Security Roles – Why can users access data without the required license?
I am working as a Power Apps developer in a Dynamics 365 environment that has the Field Service module enabled. In the same environment, some users only have Sales licenses. I assigned a security role that provides read access to the Warehouse table to a user with a Sales license. The user is able to access and read the data successfully, even though they do not have a Field Service license. This makes me unclear about how licensing is enforced in Dynamics 365. If security roles alone can grant access to tables, how do licenses actually restrict functionality? Why is it necessary to purchase additional licenses if users can still access data through security roles? Could someone clarify how licensing enforcement works in this scenario and what the best practice is?125Views0likes1CommentHow Does Outlook Profile Information Work for Custom Domain Email Accounts?
Hi everyone, I am using Outlook with a professional email address connected to my website/domain, and I want to better understand how profile information works for this type of account. I am specifically trying to know: Where Outlook pulls profile details from for a custom domain email Whether profile information is managed in Outlook, Microsoft account settings, or Microsoft 365 admin settings Which profile details are visible to recipients when sending emails Whether there is a way to personalize the account profile for a more professional appearance I am looking for guidance especially for accounts using a domain-based business/professional email rather than a regular personal Outlook address. Thanks in advance.148Views0likes3Comments
