Sharepoint to power BI "Ask the report owner to share it with you" message issue
Has anyone figured out how to deal with the below message of "Ask the report owner to share it with you" from the power BI feature in SharePoint? I have access to the report below and I still this message. I have a separate dashboard that I own which does show up for me, but a message similar to the below seems to show up for anyone else on the sharepoint side regardless of if they have access or not. My goal is to make this a landing page for all our information so users dont need to click to the main power BI location; however, I dont know if this will be realistic if the dashboard only shows up for owner permissions. SharePoint and Power BI: Field Not Read in BI - Number Assigned Instead
Hello All, There are probably 1000+ better workarounds, but here’s my situation. I need to connect SharePoint Lists to Power BI (which is pretty easy). However, I have a field on the list called Owner of Issue, a Person field pulling from Outlook. Power BI cannot read this name and instead assigns a number in its place. What would you suggest as a workaround for this? Is there a way to create a field hidden on the list that changes this to text? I don’t want to remove the Outlook element as I have conditions built of this already. If I brought this in as text, Salesforce would read it, and I could use it in my reporting. Thank you! Eric
Remove a Power BI dashboard linked to a SharePoint Online list
Hello, I have created Power BI reports from a SharePoint Online list (via the "Integrate" button). Now I want to remove some reports from the "Integrate" button, but I can't find the option. Is it possible, and how can I do it ? Thank you in advance !
PowerBI Gannt tooltip shows UK dates in app.powerbi.com but US dates in modern sharepoint webpart
As subject suggests, UK dates (dd/mm/yyyy) showing as I want on the PowerBI desktop and PowerBI online version of my gannt chart tooltip. However, when I add the report to SharePoint webpart the tooltip becomes US dates (mm/dd/yyyy). My Regional Locale on my SharePoint site is set to UK so that shouldn't be the issue. Anyone enountered this and got a solution or workaround? Hi, We have a requirement where we want to show the top 10 most read news pages in the last month on a PowerBI dashboard. The business knows about the site usage page (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/view-usage-data-for-your-sharepoint-site-2fa8ddc2-c4b3-4268-8d26-a772dc55779e) but still wants this data on a separate dashboard to combine this with other statistics. Does anyone wich API and method is used by Microsoft to create the default site usage page? A little extra information: Modern communication site Modern pages (default news) Thanks!
