104 TopicsQuestion: Adding Undo and Redo Buttons to the Toolbar in Office 365 Apps
My Microsoft Office got updated today, I was taken to the Coming Soon section as soon as I opened it through a pop-up box and I updated to the new and refresh look of Office but what I found is the undo and button came to the ribbon. I could remove those buttons from ribbon but cannot figure out how to add them in the toolbar as depicted in the picture. Can anyone please help me?SolvedOutlook search not working properly in shared mailboxes
We have people using shared mailboxes, their outlook is in cached mode for the main inbox but for shared mailboxes the cache is off. When they try to search in a shared mailbox, they are getting different results in "Current mailbox" and "Subfolders" even though the message that they are searching for is within the search scope in inbox.... when disabling cached mode for the user profile the search works fine.... It doesn't make sense because "download shared folders" unchecked means that there's no cache for shared mailboxes already so unchecking "Use cached exchange mode to download email to an outlook data file" shouldn't affect shared mailboxes.... Of course Microsoft support is so bad....Adding Office 365 Exchange Active Sync Account to Android Native Email, Calendar and Contacts Apps
Adding Office 365 Exchange Active Sync Account to Android Native Email, Calendar and Contacts Apps If you are using two-factor authentication in Office 365 (AKA multi-factor authentication) you MUST use an App Password instead of your Office 365 Login Password when creating your Exchange Active Sync account on an Android device. See the following link to learn how to create an App Password: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Create-an-app-password-for-Office-365-3e7c860f-bda4-4441-a618-b53953ee1183 If you don't use an App password during the setup, you will get the following message: Can't set up account. Authentication failed. As an aside, your domain\user entry should read: \yourusername@contoso.onmicrosoft.com or \yourusername@yourdomain.com Your server name should be: outlook.office365.comOutlook 2007 connectivity to Office 365 ending in Oct 2017
Hey all. I wanted to give you a heads up on an upcoming deprecation in Office 365. On Oct 31, 2017, RPC/HTTP will be deprecated in Exchange Online in favor of MAPI/HTTP, a modern protocol launched in May 2014. Outlook 2007 does not work with MAPI/HTTP. This means that in order to continue email connectivity, Outlook 2007 customers will need to update to a newer version of Outlook or use Outlook on the web. Additionally, Outlook 2010-2016 customers will need to ensure their version of Outlook for Windows is setup to support MAPI/HTTP. Minimum required versions are: Office 2016 plus PU.2015.12 Office 2013 SP1 plus PU.2015.12 Office 2010 SP2 plus PU.2015.12 These updates can be accessed via the KB article located here Additionally, customers may need to ensure their Outlook clients are not using a registry key to block MAPI/HTTP. Details about this registry key can be found in this KB article on our support site The links here should have all the answers you need, but let me know if you have any other questions. How do I change the alert sounds in Outlook for Mac?
How do I change the alert sounds in Outlook for Mac? When I go to Preferences, then Notifications and Sounds, the dropdown menu for Sound Set says Default. There is no other choice of sound sets on that menu. When I click the arrow next to the individual events (New message, Message sent, Reminder, etc.) it plays a sound for each--apparently the only sound available. I've Googled up a few suggestions that didn't work: I went into System Preferences > Notifications and deleted Outlook from the list of applications, then restarted Outlook. No change in Outlook Preferences. I added some new sound files (various formats--.wav, .mp3, .m4a, .aiff) to user>Library>Sounds and restarted my Mac. I still don't have any new options in Outlook Preferences. I found instructions for creating a new sound set in an existing Outlook Sound Sets folder located in user>Library>Group Containers>UBF8T346G9.Office>Outlook>Outlook Sound Sets. I put the same new sounds there. I tried it with them loose in the Outlook Sound Sets folder, and also with them contained in a new folder titled "my new sound set." I quit and restarted Outlook. It didn't give me any new options in Outlook preferences. I have a current Office 365 subscription on a MacBook Pro. The Outlook version is 16.42. I'm running Mac OS 10.14 Mojave.39KViews3likes17CommentsWhat does this "Sign In" button log me into?
I noticed this "Sign In" button at the top right corner of outlook. What does it sign me into? As you can see from the Office Accounts/Accounts page, I'm already logged into my office account. I am also successfully logged into my only mailbox. So, what might it be?12KViews0likes17CommentsFeature "Translate" missing in Outlook
The Feature "Translate" is missing in Outlook. We have the latest Update of the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel (Version 2302, Build 16130.20714). The Feature is missing in the ribbon, and also in the Options under "Language". I only have "Office display language" and "Office authoring languages and proofing" but no "Translation". Can it be somehow installed?7.8KViews0likes7CommentsHow do I display an image in an Outlook message via a hyperlink reference as opposed to inserting?
Back in the ye-olde days of html formatted email, we used to be able to provide an IMG tag and a SRC of where the image exists on the internet. It seems like with Outlook 2016, I can only insert a copy of the picture instead of just having the picture display from a hyperlink. Although I can provide a "click here" text hyperlink to the image, I prefer to have the image inline with the email text. My reasoning is... If it send a mass mailing to everyone in the company, I don't want to waste disk space by having copies of the same image in everyone's inbox. Only one copy will reside on our intranet. Is this feature no longer available?Add email account to Outlook with MFA enabled
Hi I have a problem with adding my account to new Windows 10 / Office ProPlus Outlook using app password. My account is an admin account and it has MFA enabled and Intune Conditional Access required. Sometimes, when I install a new PC and install Office via Intune, I can not add my own account to Outlook. Sometimes, if Office is allready installed to the PC, I have no problem adding my email account to Outlook. This is very frustrating and now, with a new Win 10 installation, I can't add my account to Outlook. I have tried to disable the Conditional Access MFA requirement for admins but it didn't help. How to get my account to Outlook????
