We have some document libraries in a modern Sharepoint online communications site, where in Versioning Settings for the library, we have Required documents to be checked out before they can be edited. This seems to work great for all file types except for OneNote. OneNote notebooks cannot be edited in this library unless we turn off requiring documents to be checked in /out. This is based on our own experience but I can't find any documentation from MS that this is true. Can anyone else confirm this behavior?Solved2.3KViews0likes3CommentsOneNote Notebook in SharePoint - sharing link
We have a OneNote notebook in a SharePoint site. A member of the site (read/write right), shared a link to the OneNote notebook via an email address and the recipient was able to open and edit the OneNote notebook, however the recipient is NOT a member of the SharePoint site. How can we secure this?519Views0likes0CommentsNot able to open Onenote from Browser or App in SharePoint or in ONeDrive
Hello I am not able to open my OneNote document from SharePoint Online, I am getting following error This section was originally created in an older version of OneNote. When I dry to open from using App, getting following error This section was originally created in an older version of OneNote. However I am able to open OneNote from local OneNote 2016 client. Is this normal behaviour or some limitation for OneNote with SharePoint online. Are we missing any settings somewhere? Thanks Avian2.3KViews0likes1CommentUnable to get notebooks of a sharepoint site

I have multiple onenote files in O365 onedrive. The modfied date shows incorrect. I regularly update the onenote files however an old date shows for "date modified" which does not change. The file is of type "internet Shortcut" The onenote syncs fine and there are no problems whatsoever, just that it is confusing to sometimes identify which is the correct onenote file. This becomes a problem when end users store onenote files in different locations and dont know which is the current/latest file and becomes difficult to identify specially during migrations Is this a bug or is it explained somewhere ?835Views1like0CommentsReconnecting a OneNote Notebook to the team site
Hi, I have a team site that was created in the Admin Centre so it does not have a Group associated with it. When the site was created there was a OneNote notebook as part of the site. Someone has deleted the link for it from the menu bar on the left, so how can you navigate to it from the site to 'reconnect' it? I can't work out where the site OneNote is stored. Thanks, Laurie3.3KViews0likes4CommentsNotebook title for new Site Collections now provisioning as "Team Site Notebook"
Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed that when you create a new site collection the notebook no longer has the site collection title in it. For example, if the Site Collection is called Human Resources, the notebook used to be provisioned as "Human Resources Notebook". With recent changes, the notebook is now called "Team Site Notebook". I can see this being very confusing for users who sync their notebooks to the OneNote app as all of the newly created notebooks will have the same name. Is everything else experiencing the same thing? And if so, do you have the same concerns? Cheers, Ryan974Views1like2Comments
