190 TopicsHow to remove the Welcome Message when a new member joins a group.
We are moving from an on-premise Exchange 2013 environment (using Hybrid) and we have to move our DLs to the cloud. I can create them through powershell as a distribution group, but that does not write back to our local AD (using AADConnect). So using the Unified Group commands, I can create them and they write back. The problem is the welcome message. We are not ready for users to use the extra features of the groups, plus we have users that are a part of several hundred DLs, based on what customers they take care of. I see the attribute WelcomeMessageEnabled, but am unable to change that to $False. I have also tried using mail rules to delete the message based on content in subject or body, but again no go. Does anyone have any way of turning these off? This will create a huge helpdesk and support nightmare if I can not turn these off. In order to do some clean-up for our Office 365 Groups we want to make sure that the groups that migt be considered in-active are trully that way. According to this article:"Last activity date (UTC)refers to the date of the last time file activity was detected on the site." We are not sure if a group would be active if: 1. There were conversations only (no files uploads at this period); 2. The teamused only Planner; 3. I see that when creating an Office 365 Group that a calendar is also automatically created for that group and that it appears in the list of calendars for all members of the Group regardless of their follow status of the group. How can I hide the list of Office 365 Groups in my tenant. When a guest account is added through Azure AD and the invite email is sent, they follow the instructions to login into the Guest tenant and end up on this landing page. https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/r#/applications The Guest User can then click on Groups and Join Groupand see a list of all the tenant groups and the members of any of the groups. How is this possible? A guest user shouldn't be able to see a list of internal groups. We currently have a number of public folders ( I believe 1 for each study that is active) which is a bunch... Discussions have been had around Groups is a great place for public folder data... Hello Everybody. We are having group conversationsby email that are being saved in Groups and you can only see them through OWA(online) in the conversations page. Is there a way to bring those conversations to the Group's SharePointHome Page? We use Groups mostly to store documents and email for conversations. If I can link conversations to the home page of the Group, people will engage more with other tools available at the home page (online notes for example) and may collaborate more in the comments section. Hi all, I've an issue with my O365 groups. When I right click on my Groups, I can browse all the groups and select one of the to add myself on it. Unfortunately, few seconds after adding this group to my list, it disappears and I cannot see it in my list. I see I'm a member of the O365 group my I'm not able to add it in my list. When I go the the Outlook online, in some groups I see "follow in the inbox" and not for the other ones. Please someone can give me a solution?
