Hello Everyone, This SWITCH function is used to produce a number that then I can use to sort workers and their functions. =SWITCH(TRUE, IF(AND(ISNUMBER(J2)=TRUE,M2="Working")=TRUE,5,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(K2)=TRUE,M2="Working")=TRUE,500,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(J2)=TRUE,M2="Special Project")=TRUE,15,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(K2)=TRUE,M2="Special Project")=TRUE,515,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(J2)=TRUE,M2="Stand By")=TRUE,20,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(K2)=TRUE,M2="Stand By")=TRUE,520,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(J2)=TRUE,M2="Special Project UFN")=TRUE,25,0), IF(AND(ISNUMBER(K2)=TRUE,M2="Special Project UFN")=TRUE,525,0), 50 ) In Column J I have their Start Time, from the Kronos System, and in Column K I have their End Time. In Column M I have Tasks names that would indicate what each Team member is doing. Each component does evaluate correctly but the function always return 50? What am I missing here? Thanks in Advance! There is a strange property of excel - when I have a range copied (a cell or more) and will like to add new columns or rows excel will add the with the copied rang pasted. It is awful, as it take time and sometimes leads to a crash. Is there a way to prevent excel from doing so? By the way I wonder when Microsoft will produce excel that does not crash?65Views0likes2CommentsExcel Help

Not sure if anyone is facing this issue - but I have been facing this for 2 months now and it is really really frustating..! While working on Excel, Word or Powerpoint - a lot of times (very frequent now) the filename of the open file (on which we are working) suddenly gets saved as a random number (e.g. 12456.xlsx). If we aren't alert - if you close this file - "You lose the original file from the original location". Gone - absolutely disappears. I tried to do some research on the issue and found - Closing Excel App and reopening will give you the randomly named file in 'recent' list - however you can't open it. Checked the hidden folders and found same name file in '.temp.upload' folder, but without any .extension Renamed this file to .xslx and I got all my data back. However - if you do not rcover your file on same day there is a chance that you lose this file forever. I understand now by some online surfing that this is a Onedrive Sync issue. However, my broadband is super - checked the data throughput for the instance and it was continuous highspeed without any drops. This has become so frustrating now that I am thinking of moving out of MSO. It is very stressful and distracting now to be continuously alert and check the filename every few seconds. Does anyone else face this issue? Are there any solutions for this problem?47Views0likes1CommentExcel worksheet protected but can't use text to column function
HI I have a worksheet that several people use that I need to protect. There are formulas and a pivot table. I have been able to lock what I need and am able to refresh the pivot table but I can not use the "text to column" function in the raw data as its greyed out. The area in question are not locked cells but the function is still unavailable. We need to be able to use the text to column function but I also need the sheet locked to protect the formulas.78Views0likes2CommentsSignature Line - Cannot use certificate to sign
Hello, I work for an IT support section and am having difficulties with resolving an issue with signature lines. The users have recently received new Windows 11 devices with Office 365 enterprise applications installed (Excel, Word etc.). Signing signature lines on Excel workbooks worked when they were on Windows 10 on their older devices. They had generated user certificates on their previous devices that were able to be used to sign signature lines with. I've used our Networks trusted CA to publish new certificates to the Personal > Certificates on the current user certificates. I've done this the same way as I did when on W10. What I've found is that the certificate is able to be used to sign documents in Word but not Excel. Version of Office: Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise 2605 16.0.20026.20182 I have found the following error in the diagnostic log for Excel relating to the error code -2147418113 which the Microsoft error code tool advised it was a Catastrophic failure referenced as "E_UNEXPECTED". None of the information obtained so far has helped me fix the issue. The only clue I can see is htat it works in Word and not Excel. Can anyone advise?61Views0likes2CommentsMacros blocked in shared OneDrive Excel workbook as untrusted source
I have a macro-enabled Excel workbook (.xlsm) stored in OneDrive and shared with another user. When they open the shared workbook in Excel Desktop, they receive the error: "Microsoft has blocked macros from running because the source of this file is untrusted." We've already tried enabling macros in Trust Center, adding Trusted Locations, and opening the file from a synced OneDrive folder rather than Excel Online, but the error persists. Since downloading the file creates a separate copy and defeats the purpose of a shared workbook, what is the correct way to allow VBA macros to run in a shared OneDrive-hosted workbook while keeping everyone working from the same file?151Views0likes1CommentHow to filter to include blanks without selecting blanks.....
Good Morning All, I have a spreadsheet on Excel Online version that people fill in for requesting PPE and it has drop down boxes so they can select what they need. The people filling it in are not the most knowledgeable with computers never mind Excel just FYI for context. When the spreadsheet gets filtered eg to show only the requests for Bob, it shows the items for Bob and then the row underneath is row 532 which is outside my data and therefore the drop down boxes do not show so when someone comes to fill it in they can't select what they want to order and just end up free typing which defeats the object and means things can get missed. I want to be able to filter the spreadsheet in any column EG Bob so it shows the items for Bob and then the next row is the next 'available' row which in this example would be row 23 but also people are filling this in daily so row 23 is not set. Tomorrow it will have more data in and the next 'available' row could be row 30 so obviously tomorrow I would like to be able to filter to Bob, see all of Bobs items and then the next row showing is row 30. This is a test doc: https://1drv.ms/x/c/15153d41767146da/IQDVK5iPAiw-SoUyrf9ciYdwAb76zwpiF-IAtr6ISry1KwQ?e=v4vo3C Hope that makes sense and hopefully I am not asking for the impossible!
