Hello, I have created a histogram and now I want to modify the width and number of the bins. Can someone please advise? When I select 'format axis' there is no option to modify bin (see attached). I have seen various videos and web pages that show how to do this in Excel 2016 and later, so I am confused as to why bin width/number is apparently hard wired in my Excel (2020 Microsoft 365, Excel version 16.41). Thank you for your help.813KViews0likes15CommentsExcel Date Picker
Hello , I would like to add date picker on an excel sheet. The goal is to create an excel file and have this sent to users to fill in. When filling the excel, and click on the start date, a calendar dropdown should appear and users select the date from the calendar so as to eliminate different date format and make it unique across the document. I was able to get a date picker add-in however this wont work because I am sending to users please see below:639KViews0likes13CommentsDeleting rows that contain specific content
Copying records from a source into excel, each record copies over as either 2 or 3 lines. Nearly every record contains a unique line with the word "search" in it. I don't need those lines in my spreadsheet, but don't know how to write a macro that will delete only rows that contain that specific word. I'm sure its simple, but my programming knowledge is minimal. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Solved602KViews0likes10CommentsFormulas Not Calculating in Workbook
Hello, I have a very large workbook with many formulas across different sheets. I currently have this workbook set to manual calculations only. And it is saved in a Sharepoint Directory with autosave enabled. When the source data for this workbook is updated. None of the formulas are updating when 1. The Calculate Now button is pressed. 2. The workbook is set back to automatic calculation. 3. When the work book is manually saved and closed. I have noticed another issue. When I go to File > Options. The Options dialogue never appears. I am wondering if anyone else have experienced this issue, and if so have been able to successfully troubleshoot the problem?497KViews0likes5CommentsExcel Print Preview not matching the actual printed document
Hey there, My Excel print preview and printer seem to be out of sync. I keep my excel worksheets in "Page Layout" mode when I work, I find it best when I plan to print the document in the end. In the last 2 weeks, none of the documents I've printed are coming out the way they appear on the workbook. I have a workbook that should be 23 pages but it prints 26 instead. The rows are extending over into other pages. Please help!!Solved426KViews5likes65CommentsConverting time to a digital number
Hello. I used to use MS Office in the 80s and 90s and now I'm getting started with 365, doing freelance work. I'm making a spreadsheet to calculate charges for my work, and have gotten a bit confused, after using what I thought was the correct format seen in another post on this forum. The formula I'm using is: =(TotalTime-INT(TotalTime))*24 to take the total time worked (1:10), but the field shows 4:00 instead of 1.67. What did I miss, to get this erroneous data? (The Help on this subject got me thoroughly confused.) Thanks in advance, RacheSolved419KViews2likes3CommentsExcel ran out of resources while attempting to calculate one or more formulas.
Excel ran out of resources while attempting to calculate one or more formulas. As a result, these formulas cannot be evaluated. Hi Everyone, I'm getting the above error message when opening or doing any sort of calculation on any file (even opening a blank file and typing in =2+2). Steps I have taken: 1. Restart PC 2. Reinstall Excel/Office 3. Turned off multi-threading in Options / Advanced / Formulas 4. Gone down to 1 processor in Options / Advanced / Formulas A support agent from Microsoft also spent about half an hour playing around remotely, seemed to do the tests above and a few others which I can't recall but wasn't able to resolve. They sent me here. Files which have the issue on my laptop, I've emailed to another PC and they're working fine. Laptop I'm using has an i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 1.69 GHz 8.00GB RAM Any suggestions? Many thanks LukeSolved348KViews0likes45Commentsworkbook and sheet name via formula
I have a standard header I put on almost every excel workbook I create I have been using for years. It includes several standard items, including Workbook name and Worksheet name, which are extracted via CELL("Filename",A1) formula. For Excel workbooks that are being viewed in Excel Online, however, whether through onedrive, sharepoint, or whatever, this formula yields a #VALUE! error. When I open in desktop, it renders fine, just not when looking at browser window. Is there an alternative that I can use to display current workbook and worksheet names via a formula in a cell that is compatible with Excel Online?Solved334KViews1like63Comments
