52 TopicsExtremely Slow Performance Since Defender Was Pushed on Us
Compliance, Security, Protection, and Defender are all extremely slow, with responses from screen to screen ranging from 30 seconds to multiple minutes between clicking items and waiting for Microsoft cloud to return results. I have a GB link and speed test well over 600 Mbps so it's not on my end. It appears the cutover in late January to this new "Defender" platform has been extremely detrimental to the Office portal response times in these portals. What is being done to resolve this?20KViews2likes12CommentsRegulatory and Compliance Headaches?

Sensitivity labels, sensitivity label policies and auto labelling work great for Outlook , Excel and Word and PowerPoint but I don’t see anything available natively for OneNote. Is this something that may be introduced to M365 compliance in the future?7KViews2likes2CommentsPotential bug? - "Justification Required" prompt pops-up unnecessarily
Clicking on a already selected sensitivity label from the 'sensitivity drop down' (across all Office Apps including Outlook) pops up the 'Justification required' prompt and that doesn't make sense. Ideally it should not prompt if you click on the currently selected label but only when 'Downgrading' the sensitivity level. Ref: Unclassified is already selected. I'm simply clicking on the same (highly likely a normal user case) And it prompts for Justification although I've not changed anything. This seems to be well known? as I've seen it across multiple tenancies. Thought of posting here to understand from others/shout out to Microsoft. Appreciate any useful insights you may have! I'm trying to get the https://partnercenter.microsoft.com/pc/api/cms/rtdownload?id=sales/RWNe12 linked to our main Azure Subscription. However, I believe this is only available for people signed up for the Microsoft Cloud Financial Services Compliance Program (FSCP). Nobody at Microsoft seems to know anything about this program. Here's a whitepaper on it: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=55332 And the amendment is brought up in this document recently released: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/compliance/regulatory/offering-eba-eu6.2KViews1like1CommentMicrosoft Purview Sensitivity labels: restricting users from selecting lower level of sensitivity
Howdy Folks! Do we have an option to restrict users from selecting a label that is lower than previously used (on a reply/forward email scenario) ? I'm aware of the "users must provide justification to remove/downgrade a classification" option but, is there a way we could completely restrict downgrading? Has anyone worked around this ? This is a crucial option on our approach of aligning to Australian government standards. any thoughts are greatly appreciated! Just getting a handle on 365s Compliances Insider Management Risk and we're getting a lot of notifications about collecting files downloaded from sharepoint, however most of these are just One Drive syncing with their company device, the operation being FileSyncDownloadedFull. Is there any way to hide alerts on this particular operation. We have Endpoint in place so users cannot sync to OneDrive unless they are on a company device so this alert is not necessary. Help appreciated. Thanks.4.1KViews1like0CommentsAll the locations where you can find Sensitivity labels
Update (14-Mar-25): Removed Windows Explorer Here are the locations where you can find the sensitivity label of a document (if there are any that I've missed, please feel free to add it here) Sensitivity Label Button in the Document: In Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, you can find the Sensitivity label button on the Home tab. This button allows users to apply or view sensitivity labels directly within the document interface. (Sensitivity label app on the upper right) Document Properties > Advanced Properties Sensitivity labels can also be found in the document properties. To access this, go to File > Info > Properties > Advanced Properties. Here, you can see detailed metadata, including any applied sensitivity labels. Sensitivity Label Column in SharePoint: In SharePoint, sensitivity labels are displayed in a dedicated column. This allows users to quickly see the sensitivity level of documents stored within SharePoint libraries (Removed) Windows File Explorer: - As it was rightly pointed in the comment section, this is a roadmap item that has yet to materialise. Mobile Applications: Office mobile apps for iOS and Android also support sensitivity labels, enabling users to apply and view labels on the go. Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal: Administrators can manage and view sensitivity labels applied across the organization through the Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal. This portal is only accessible to IT admins who has the right Purview role.4KViews0likes11CommentsSharepoint retention Label - files not being deleted
Hi. I created a Retenion Label and its policy (as a test) to delte files in a spcific sharepoting folder 3 days after last moficied date. after 6 days, the files are still in the same location and i can still edit them. I was expecting the files will be delted from that folder after 3 days. Any ideas why it might not be working? thank youSolved3.1KViews0likes4Comments
