10 TopicsLicensing question: Exchange Server SE for CSP M365 E3/E5 customers without Extended Use Rights
Does anyone have any information on licensing the new Exchange Server SE for customers who have M365/O365 E3/E5 purchased via CSP but do not have Extended Use Rights (i.e., no EA/EAS -> no on-prem Office server licenses included)? Specifically: Is it enough to license Exchange Server SE per node only, or Do customers also need to purchase Exchange Server CALs per user (even if they already have M365 E3/E5)? I’ve spoken with multiple licensing distributors and a Microsoft partner contact, but I still haven’t been able to get a definitive answer. According to a comment from Jeremy Carlson and Microsoft’s licensing documentation, certain licenses appear to include "CAL-equivalency rights". Can anyone here confirm whether these CAL-equivalency rights cover access to Exchange Server SE in the CSP E3/E5 (no Extended Use Rights) scenario? licensing reference: https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/terms/product/CALandMLEquivalencyLicenses/MCA#clause-2165-h3-175Views0likes0CommentsGmail Emails Randomly Quarantined in Microsoft 365 with High Confidence Phish (SCL 8)
Hello Microsoft Tech Community, We’ve been encountering a recurring issue where emails sent from Gmail to recipients in Microsoft 365 are being randomly quarantined. The quarantine reason is marked as "High Confidence Phish" with a Spam Confidence Level (SCL) of 8, despite the emails being legitimate. What’s more puzzling is that when the same email is sent to multiple recipients: The email is successfully delivered to Recipient1. The same email to Recipient2 is quarantined. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Could this be due to a misclassification in Microsoft Defender or some specific filtering behavior? Any insights or recommendations to prevent such false positives would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Solved646Views5likes4CommentsAudit of delegates??

Hi everyone! I have encountered an issue with the new Exchange Online Admin Center. In the old admin center, I could easily view and validate quarantined mobile device details, allowing me to make informed decisions about allowing authentic devices to connect to Outlook App. However, in the new Exchange Online Admin Center, when I navigate to the user mailbox and click on "Manage Mobile Devices," the quarantined devices are displayed but without any device information. This lack of information makes it challenging for me to allow or remove a device from quarantine effectively. I am unable to view the last sync attempt or any other device details. I kindly request assistance from Microsoft regarding this matter as it poses a potential security breach. Please take a look at the attached screenshots for reference. In the old admin center, I could view device details, whereas the new admin center only offers options to Allow, Delete, Block, or Wipe the devices. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Solved3.6KViews0likes5Commentsmanage Exchange Online Mail Contacts with Graph API
Has anyone a solution to manage Exchange Online Mail Contacts over Graph API? This would be the preferred way. On Microsoft Learn I've found this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/orgcontact?view=graph-rest-beta but it's still in beta and can't be used to create Contacts rn. Otherwise, I would try to achieve this with the https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/exchange/new-mailcontact?view=exchange-ps and Azure Automation. I've never got in touch with Azure Automation but what I've seen, it should be possible, I think.

Setting a specific SCL for an incoming message is easy, but I can't find a way to reduce or increase an SCL based on specific criteria. Is this possible with Exchange Online? If so, how do you do it? This is a trivial task in every anti-spam product I've ever used except for Exchange/EOP/Defender. (Irrelevant, but relevant to a decade-long trend in Microsoft UIs: The Tech Community site has become the most unintuitive, obscure tech forum I have ever seen. The most basic functions are hidden or absent.)Solved2KViews0likes5CommentsExchange Admin: Use Action: Move to Archive with default folder Retention Tags
In Exchange Admin, I don't see how to create a Retention Tag that is "applied automatically to a default folder" like Sent Items, and select the Action as Move to Archive. For tags applied to default folders, the only actions are "Delete and Allow Recovery" and "Permanently Delete." Tags that are applied automatically to entire mailbox (default) and that are applied by users (personal tags) provide for the Move to Archive action. Why can't we use Action: Move to Archive with default folder retention tags? Thank you! Bob H.803Views0likes0CommentsDifference between Hybrid Deployment and Connectors in Exchange Online
