meeting room
11 TopicsReusing Teams Meeting URL/permanent "meeting room"
Once I "Meet Now" in teams, I can obtain the URL link to that meeting and save it. Then, even after I leave the meeting and close teams, the link is still good. That is, later I or someone else can click on that URL and it opens the meeting back up, in the same day, anyway. The question: how do I determine if this ability to reuse a generated URL link a feature of teams that is likely to remain available, as opposed to a "side effect" of how it works right now that will stop working in a future release? (Also, does anyone know if "meet now" links expire, that is, will no longer work next week or next month?) P.S.: I am aware of the security implications of this but it isn't an issue in this case, but the convenience of a permanent "meeting room"-- that is, a reusable link that the participants have and can bookmark and reuse-- is important.Solved87KViews1like13CommentsTeams meeting room stuck on signing in
Our Teams meeting room is stuck on signing in on SfB. Somehow the newly created Teams Room (Logitech Tap) the UPN, SIP and email are the same keeps on showing this message on the tap: The connectivity health gives the following information: I've tried a couple of things (changing UPN/Mail/SIP and changing from SfB only to Microsoft Teams) but it still doesn't work. The earlier created Teams Meeting rooms are still functioning.25KViews1like2CommentsMTR Poly GC8 screen blank when joining Teams Meetings
Teams Room 4.11.17.0 with Windows runing 20H2, no updates available. When we join a Teams meeting the touch panel goes blank, so we cannot control or leave the meeting. The participants are shown on the connected TV and the camera works in that the participants can see the room. The only way to end the meeting in the Meeting Room and restore the touch panel is to reboot the system. Similarly, if we select the call function, the screen goes blank until it times out and returns to the dashboard. The MTR is running 4.11.17.0 and Windows is 20H2. We have tested the MTR device wtha a Zoom Meeting and the panel works fine. Any suggestions?Solved13KViews1like12CommentsLarge Gallery View not Supported in MTR
The latest version of Microsoft Teams, 4.5.37.0, has many new features including large gallery view which can increase the video layout up to 49 visible participants. Unfortunately these new features are not offered with the Microsoft Teams Room app that do not have collaboration bars. We are currently using a Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub 500 for Microsoft Teams Rooms. Do we know when this will be available on this platform. These devices are only 18 months old and we would like to take advantage of this feature specifically. Thank you.Solved4KViews0likes3CommentsDelete any booking in any meeting room after a specific date via Power-shell
Hi Exchange Team, Basically we want to delete all the meetings out of the meeting room calendars after a specific date ( ex. April 1st, 2020) so any booking in any meeting room after April 1st. needs to be deleted We want to delete a meeting from an attendee's calendar- not deleting the meetings from an organizers calendar which is easy. The difficult part is that the meeting room is not the organizer of the meeting, it's only a participant. We dont want to cancel the meeting, we just want for the meeting room to delete the event out of its calendar - The meeting has to stay. There's no built in command to do that, has anyone accomplish this before via PS or similar experience? ThanksSolved3.5KViews0likes2CommentsSkype for Business; conference call confusion
We have Office 365 Business Premium licences for our office workers; we also have a Webex subscription that is not meeting our needs, so I would like to give Skype a whirl. I am getting incredibly confused bouncing around from one MS page to another, trying to figure out what we need to achieve our goal. What I want: I would like a meeting initiator to send out a Skype meeting request to external customers. For the meeting initiator to call into a conference number so that we can use our conference phone in a meeting room. For customers to be able to call into the conference number or use traditional Skype audio. What I have done: Taken out a 'Meeting Room' trial subscription and assigned a licence to the initiator. Logged into the Skype for Business Admin Centre, selected 'Voice', added a geographically appropriate number and assigned it. Logged into the Skype for Business Admin Centre, selected 'Audio Conferencing', and assigned the initiator to the new number. What doesn't work: I ring the conference number and am asked for a conference ID, which I do not possess. I create a new Skype meeting and the e-mail/invite does not include a conference ID. I suspect that I may also need the 'Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing' add-on and assign a licence to the initiator. As there is a minimum 12-month term I do not wish to subscribe unless I am sure I am correct. I am also struggling to identify the associated costs of the phone number associated with the voice bridge in the Skype for Business Admin Centre. I would very much appreciate some guidance! There is a way to set the maximum amount of days in advance that a resource account for a Teams room or meeting room can be booked (Set-CalendarProcessing (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn), but I'm not finding a way to specify a minimum amount of lead time for a resource account to be booked. Is there something that I'm missing in the documentation or another way to implement a 24 hour lead time to book a resource account so that users cannot book meetings in the same day for rooms?799Views0likes2CommentsProhibit the deletion of a room reservation from the room calendar
Hello, we have just put into production the provision of rooms and equipment on our exchange server (hybrid mode for now). In the tests, a user made a reservation in their calendar and chose a room. The room calendar would update with the meeting and only the meeting organizer could delete the meeting directly on the room calendar. Now anyone can go to the venue's calendar and view it (which is ok for me) but they can also delete a booking. Therefore, I would like to prohibit the deletion of room bookings on the room calendar except by the meeting organizer. How to do it? Thanks a lot. Guillaume P.500Views0likes1Comment
