Hi all, I'm trying to use Powerpoint to project supertitles (captions) live for an opera on a Macbook. Been a while since I've used the software and the current version of presenter mode is giving us some issues. We've got the current slide in the top left, the next slide in the top right and that's all great. Then we have the preview of the current slide at the bottom and every time we go to the next slide it's doing this sliding motion to the next slide even thought the slide show itself has no transitions. The slides at the top work the same as the slide show so we can work with it but it's a kind of really distracting having the slides at the bottom get way behind and glitch out because we're flying through some of these slides. Does anyone know a way to hide the bottom preview or disable the timing on it so it just snaps to the next slide like the actual slide show does? All timings of everything are disabled and set to manual or zero. I just can't find any option regarding that section of the Presenter View. Hi Everyone, I own a Microsoft 365 account both on Windows and on Mac. I'm registered for the Insider Program and I can use Python in Excel and GROUPBY and PIVOTBY functions on Windows but not on Mac. Someone knows why please? Thank you for responding. Take care and have a nice day. Aurelien362Views0likes0CommentsPower Query source access denied for colleagues within same SharePoint group
I'm having a lot of success with Power Query in Excel on Mac, which I'm super happy about, but it's massively glitchy when colleagues open my files. My colleagues are all in the same SharePoint company as me, they have the same access to the relevant files and folders, yet when they open my files they always get some kind of "file access denied" message which prevents any PQ refresh actions working. If I open up the PQ editor to check the problem, what's happening is the source file has re-named itself from the generic file path that I set up, to a C/Users/ path that's specific to me. Hence I assume isn't recognised by the other user's machine. For example (simplified): What I set up as source file: Sharepoint/Company/Statistics/2023sales.xlsx What the file path becomes when a colleague opens the file: C/Users/AnnaJP/blah...blah.../Company/Statistics/2023sales.xlsx I have tried manually renaming the file on a colleague's machine while they've got it open but each time it is opened by someone else it becomes the wrong file path again and the issue persists. It also happens even when the source table is in the SAME file that contains the query and the output. This it basically makes all my PQ-cleaned source data only update-able and refresh-able by me. Yet I am sure that with a couple of simple instructions my colleagues could easily add new data to the source and then refresh it themselves... but they can't - "access denied"! Any ideas what might help?474Views0likes0CommentsAdding Categories to Favorites in Outlook for Mac
One of my favorite features of "New Outlook" on Windows is the ability to add Categories to the favorites list. Am I missing something on the Mac version (16.80) or is it not possible? I didn't see anything on the Microsoft 365 roadmap page for it.3.6KViews2likes4CommentsRemove all hyperlinks working?
I am on Mac version 16.77. If I control-A the contents of a Word document, then Control-Shift-F9, nothing happens - and it should remove all hyperlinks. It has worked in the past. If I take the same document to a Windows computer, it works fine. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?390Views1like0CommentsOutlook 2021 for MAC on new M2 MacBook Pro
Good day all, sorry for the length of this but want to give you all what has occurred. New Mac was purchased and end user started it up and loaded Office 2021 purchased new from Apple Store. Handed over the new macbook and old macbook to the store and they performed a migration. When the system was handed over to me, I imported his old Outlook 2011 profile (from old system) on to his new Outlook 2021. All came over and placed it in "On this Computer" and also brought over his 2 email accounts. All mail currently comes in to the "All accounts" section but his folders stay in "On This Computer". Learned that if he doesn't use "New Outlook" his search will NOT work. I have tried everything from a rebuild of the identity, to verifying the were no special characters in the profile name and also checked Spotlight to make sure the location of the identity was not being excluded from searches. The identity is in the correct folder location on the system. I even removed and reinstalled Office 2021. My questions are : 1) is there a way to have all email come into 1 inbox and also have all his folders together under the same heading and not in a different heading (On this Computer). The folders are a combination of emails from the two different email accounts. 2) Is there a way to use the old Outlook style and get the search to work? Currently it will NOT show any results. System They are running is a MAcBook Pro M2. running Ventura 13.5 and Office 2021 for Mac with Automatic Updates On and set for Current (beta). All has been done since August 3. A week ago. Please help as end-user is very frustrated.1KViews0likes0Comments
