I am trying to read a datasource (CSV) into Power Query. I keep getting DataSource error saying that it cannot read the file. This happens whether I try using "Get Data" or just editing an existing query so that it points to a different source. An exception occurred: [DataSource.Error] Access to the path '/my/path/to/the/file.csv' is denied. (Session ID: 6cc4c6b5-96d6-4d58-b68a-f20fcab1aa8f) Sometimes, If I make a copy of the file, then I can import that copy. But if I change the name back to what I want it to be named, then it can't connect. It's the same file, just with a different name. Sometimes when I go to Get Data, all the potential choices (ie.. all the CSV files) are grayed out. But if I rename one of the files then that one will (sometimes) not be greyed out and I can select it. But if I change it back to the name I want, then it grays out again. Very frustrating as a simple duplication task (ie. duplicating a query and then adding a different source) has become very hard indeed. Any ideas why this might be happening?18KViews3likes19CommentsAdding Categories to Favorites in Outlook for Mac
One of my favorite features of "New Outlook" on Windows is the ability to add Categories to the favorites list. Am I missing something on the Mac version (16.80) or is it not possible? I didn't see anything on the Microsoft 365 roadmap page for it.2.9KViews2likes4CommentsOutlook Mac 16.75 crashes at launch on Ventura 13.4
Hi there, Just updated this morning Office application (beta channel) and Outlook now crashes a few seconds after launch (Mac Intel - Ventura 13.4). Does anyone have the same behavior ? Hope a future and quick version will fix it. I'm hoping y'all can help me out here - how do I join Office Insider on Mac? The official guidance on how to join Office Insider on Mac is somewhat outdated - https://insider.office.com/en-us/join/mac "Help > Check for Updates" is no longer how updates are managed for Office on Mac. They are now managed through the Mac App Store. At least, that's how I've installed the apps and manage my updates. I'm really craving some of the features that are only available to Insider users so keeping my fingers crossed there's a solution out there someone can help me out with.Solved1.8KViews2likes3CommentsPowerPoint 16.65 and 16.66 (22090700) "arrange" menu item does not respond to mouse.
Noticed this first on the 16.65 build. Running on an M1 MBP with macOS Ventura latest beta (7) Powerpoint's "arrange" menu item does not work with a mouse. Initially was using MX3 mouse with logioptions, removed Logioptions and the issue remains. I can select "Arrange" and navigate to align etc with the arrow keys but there is no response from using a mouse. I updated to the latest build on the beta channel (22090700) and the issue is the same. Assume that is a bug. At least the arrow keys provide a workaround for now.3.8KViews2likes12CommentsPasting text in newest OneNote for Mac has big delays (even "Please Wait" dialog!)
Newest OneNote for Mac pauses w/a "Please Wait" window whenever I paste anything! This is on a latest-generation Macbook Pro. Frustrating and messes up automations that I use all day :(. Verified this happens on both Intel + Apple silicon Macs, and that it does NOT happen on version 16.57. Please fix!2.9KViews2likes9CommentsRemove all hyperlinks working?
I am on Mac version 16.77. If I control-A the contents of a Word document, then Control-Shift-F9, nothing happens - and it should remove all hyperlinks. It has worked in the past. If I take the same document to a Windows computer, it works fine. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?360Views1like0CommentsProfiles in Outlook for Mac
Hello, Microsoft 365 Insiders! This is Priya Ganta from the Outlook for Mac team. If, like me, you have multiple email accounts configured within Outlook or have long shied away from adding your personal accounts to your work Outlook, I have some great news for you! I am excited to announce a new feature now available for Outlook Mac that lets you create a distraction-free experience across multiple accounts. Profiles in Outlook for Mac In Outlook Mac, you can now create profiles – for example, one for your work account, and another for your personal account. You can then select your work profile and Outlook will not bother you with any notifications from your personal email accounts. Similarly, if you select your personal profile at home, Outlook will not bother you with work-related emails. With one click or by pressing the Control+Tab keys, you can switch between Outlook profiles in seconds. You can even automate switching with Siri automation. Switching to my personal profile every weekday evening after 6pm and then switching back to my work profile at 8am is just one example. Until now, you couldn’t mute notifications by account, or show only certain accounts when in a focus mode. Using profiles, you can now: Theme your work profile to be a different color than your personal profile. Switch between various Outlook to help with work-life balance. For example, you can switch to your personal profile, every weekday after 6pm and switch back to work at 8am, the next day. Set up as many profiles as you need to best manage your time and your inbox. Define different Outlook window appearance for different profiles. Tie your email accounts within Outlook for Mac to Apple’s Focus Filters. The possibilities are endless! With 16.69 and 16.70 Outlook on Mac (M1), when composing a message/reply/fwd, I am "seeing" the body frame open up with SUPER TINY font size. This also happens if I open an existing calendar event. Is this "feature" something that can be controlled via a setting somewhere? See attached imaged for example. Thanks!2.2KViews1like2Comments
