Hi everyone, hope to tap into the collective wisdom here. I've put off a proper backup solution for my Windows 11 machine, and I know I play with fire. Every "top 10" list feels like an ad, and I just want real-user opinions. I’m not a pro, so something reliable and user-friendly is key. I look for something that can handle both a solid system image (for a full disaster recovery) and regular file backups. Free is great, but I’m willing to pay a reasonable one-time fee for a "set it and forget it" tool that just works. What is the best PC backup software for Windows in 2026? Any horror stories to avoid? Major thanks for any help you can offer.6.4KViews2likes8CommentsMy PC won't let me sign into my other account
Every time I turn my Windows 11 PC on it just automatically signs into the main account and won't let me switch. I click the logo in the bottom left and then the profile, but it just closes the window as if I clicked off. I have tried many other ways, like clicking CTRL ALT DELETE then sign out. But it shows only the main account as an option for me to sign into. And I know it didn't delete my account, because when I click Family and Users in settings, it shows my other account yet doesn't let me switch.27Views0likes1CommentTurning DELL Desktop Computer PC i5 Work PC into Gaming PC?

I tried to upgrade my new clean installed Windows 11 Home laptop to Windows 11 Education using a key that I got from Microsoft Azure for students (I already used this key once before on this laptop, but I clean installed it right now, so I'm using this key again on that same laptop). I entered the new key and it seemed to be working (it said installing upgrades) and when it got to 100% downloaded, it gave an error saying "We can't upgrade your edition of windows." So then I tried entering the product key again 2 more times, but then each time it gave another error saying "the product key you entered didn't work." So then I restarted my computer to hopefully fix the errors, but when I restarted, it got the regular black screen for updages, and it also said "adding features," so then it updated like that for only about a minute, and then booted up to normal Windows. I opened settings and it showed that Windows 11 Education was activated (with digital license to microsoft account). So then I entered the same product key one more time, and it said this copy of Windows has been successfully activated (even though it already was activated with Windows 11 Education after I restarted, which I don't know why it happened in the first place considering it gave an error?). It seems like all of the Education features are available though (like hyper-v and group policy). But why did this happen? Is Windows 11 Education successfully installed, or is it possible for it to be corrupted? What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!5Views0likes0CommentsIs it normal for Windows to give an error with a new product key but still upgrade?

I'm not looking to sell or anything. I want to know its price if I sell it in the future, not confirmed. Bought this in used condition for around 80k, and I can say it is quite a powerful machine for me. Specs: Intel Core i7 8th Gen 16 gb ram DDR4 (Maybe 5.. i dont remember) Intel 620 integrated gpu Windows 11 pro 1920x1080p 60Hz Display Other specs in the pics So, I used it with delicate care as I am a PC enthusiast. It has a minor scratch at the back, and the side vents are broken due to weak plastic, but they were broken before I bought it. Also, please don't criticise and provide your honest opinion33Views0likes1CommentThe “onetFile” folder keeps automatically appearing on the C drive in Windows 11
I'm running Windows 11, and a folder named “onetFile” keeps automatically appearing in the root directory of Drive C. It reappears shortly after I delete it. The folder contains only an empty subfolder named “recv.” Every time this folder is created, File Explorer becomes noticeably sluggish. I don't have OneNote or OneDrive installed on my computer. Could this be a virus? What are the possible causes? How can I fix this?22Views0likes1CommentHelp Deciding Whether or Not to Upgrade
I’m mainly looking at upgrading my graphics at the moment, but I’m unsure if I should just update the card or if I need to update the mobo and all and do a fresh build. This is my first self built pc, so I’m not sure how it all goes. Current graphics is a 3060TI and I’m looking at getting an RX 9070 Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX II AM4 CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X 8Core 3.6GHz 64gb of DDR4 RAM total I was considering getting the 9070 and updating to Windows 11 just not sure how going all new with only 1 component would be on this build. Do new CPUs fit into older Mobos? I know I can’t do new RAM and RAM is essentially the reason I’m not doing a whole new build in the first place lol.42Views0likes0CommentsHow do I free up storage space on my Windows 11 PC?
Hi everyone, I have an legacy PC that was recently upgraded to Windows 11, and now I am running low on storage space. The computer has a 256GB SSD, and there is only about 20GB of free space left. I am worried that this may affect performance or cause problems with updates. I am not very tech-savvy, so I would really appreciate simple and safe advice. What are the best ways to free up storage space on Windows 11 PC without deleting anything important? I would like to know what I should check first, which files are usually safe to remove, and whether Windows 11 has any built-in tools that can help. Thanks in advance for any help.465Views0likes10Comments
