'Apply label to items in this list or library' - Not showing in settings
Hi I have set up labels for one of my clients. I can add the label from the document both online and local application. When I migrate the data for one set of data I want to add the label to everything in that document library, however in the DL settings, this option is not showing under Permission and Management. I also don't seem to have the capability to add this in SharePoint under the details pane. Guest access- suffix label
We need to keep guest access turned on to run meetings with external individuals/organisations, but as a school we're experiencing people trying to access lessons that are not theirs, and causing problems. When the (guest) suffix label appears, we can easily identify and deny admittance, but some guests area appearing without that suffix label, and are mimicking our usernames, making it impossible to identify without hovering over each potential participant to see their card. Anyone know why the guest suffix has disappeared, and how we can ensure it is always there?
Azure Information Protection labels being overrided
I recently implemented the Azure Information Protection P1 in my tennant. When I label a document as "Confidential - All Employees" it becomes available to all employees. If I share the document by rightclicking the document and using the "Azure information Protection" Client - and then I classify the Document as "Confidential - All Employees" - and check the "Protect with custom permissions" and choose an email from outside my organisation, it will then override that label and not allow Employees to open the document. Is this intended? Does the "Custom Permissions" override these labels on purpose, or is this a mistake on my part? Thanks in advanced.
Feature update - New label on flags
Deleted The edge://flags pages should have the new flags with New label and should come at the top. So it would be easier to identify the latest feature flags instead to go through all the flags and manually decide if that is new. Currently, everytime I update my canary I have to search whole flag list for any new flags to try out.
Microsoft Purview - User not getting prompt to apply sensitivity label
We have a few users who have stopped getting prompt to apply MS Purview sensitivity labels on emails only in Outlook on IOS and Outlook online. Their windows laptops are fine. We have checked that they are part of the group that the label publishing policy is applied to and had been using the labels earlier successfully until recently. What are the things I can do to troubleshoot this issue?Encryption disappears in Outlook - Sensitivity Label not working
Hello everyone, we implemented Sensitivity Labels at our client and have iconsistent and unexpected behavior, we cannot explain. Maybe some of you can help or have ideas on whats going on: Scenario / Use Case A customer is using Sensitivity Labels to encrypt emails in Exchange Online. Label configuration: The sensitivity label applies encryption The label is scoped (published) to a Microsoft 365 group User A and User B are members of this Microsoft 365 group and therefore can apply the label User are licensed with M365 Business Premium The label is published and available to User A and User B (member of above M365 group) User C is an external recipient and not included in the label’s publishing scope Observed Behaviors Scenario 1 – Encryption Lost When Forwarded Externally User A (internal) sends an email to User B (internal) using a sensitivity label that applies encryption. User B receives the email correctly: The lock icon in Outlook is displayed, the message is encrypted as expected User B forwards the email to User C (external) User C receives the forwarded email unencrypted: No lock icon is shown, User C can read the entire conversation history, including content that was previously encrypted Scenario 2 – Encryption Disappears Within an Internal Email Conversation In addition to the external forwarding scenario, we are also observing the following behavior within an internal email thread: User A sends an encrypted email to User B using the sensitivity label. User B replies to User A: The reply remains encrypted User A replies again within the same conversation Suddenly, the encryption disappears: The lock icon is no longer shown The message and the full conversation history is no longer protected This happens without any user action to remove or change the sensitivity label. Key Observation Both scenarios occur intermittently: Sometimes encryption behaves as expected Sometimes encryption disappears “out of nowhere” The behavior is not reliably reproducible, which makes troubleshooting very difficult. Any help is appreciated!
