Onedrive file sync issue
I just recently had an issue where my files were not synced because i had run out of onedrive storage space so i just got rid of a bunch of unnecessary files sitting around which freed up a ton of space. The files still werent synced so i resett one drive to sync them back up but when i did that it just restored the files i had just deleted. I kept trying over and over again but the same kept happening and now i cant sycn my files. Ive tried everything, restarted my computer. Reinstalled onedrive but its all not working and my files and folders wonf sync. What do i do to fix this?
Manage Access in bulk for OneDrive Shared by Me?
I have a very long list of Shared by me files and it is taking me forever to go through each one to remove sharing. The web UI doesn't appear to support multi-select for Manage Access but before I put my head down and take to task I thought I'd ask the community. Is there a way to select multiple files and remove sharing from them in just a few clicks?Accessing Teams Private Channels Files in SharePoint
Is there an issue currently with accessing Teams Private Channel files in SharePoint? I have looked but cannot find anything. Recently our users that used to access Teams Private channel files within SharePoint (by going to the sharepoint site and Documents and then In Channels) have noticed that when they click a folder it doesn't take them into a file list, it just does nothing. If they then press F5 to refresh it will usually take them into the list of files. Accessing the files with Teams is fine still, only an issue if you use SharePoint. We have a cloud application that uses the user's OneDrive while they are working with documents. These files are stored in a specific folder and are removed when the user checks in the files through the application. However, it seems the application does not handle users checking in files while they are syncing. I’ve looked into policies and settings in SharePoint Online and Intune, but I haven’t found a way to exclude the folder for all users. The only solution so far seems to be guiding users to do this manually. Is there really no other way to achieve this?
OneDrive Stops Running
I have a Windows 11 on a laptop and have been using Onedrive for a long time. This problem happens when the PC is started. Suddenly the program stops after showing up in the taskbar. It goes through signing in and then quits running. For a while a window kept popping up suggesting an update to PowerDrive. That's when Onedrive stops. I uninstalled the PowerDrive program, but Onedrive stills stops. When following the suggestions on the Microsoft page for resetting Onedrive the message that it cannot find Onedrive shows up. Yet Onedrive presumably has been installed in the correct location. I have uninstalled and re-installed Onedrive. Also, re-installed Windows, and the Microsoft 365 family. Each time Onedrive shows up and then stops running. I can start Onedrive, the folder opens, the icons shows up. But a few seconds later the icon is gone. Ideas?
OneDrive deleted thousands of my files?
I'm hoping somebody here can help me, because I can't find any kind of "Support" link just for OneDrive. Yesterday, for no reason I can determine, OneDrive (personal) deleted a couple thousand old files of mine and put them in the Recycle Bin. I was not using even half of my 1 TB storage, and I did not delete these files myself. They were in various folders. Some had been accessed very recently, some had not been accessed in years. I looked for the files on the app on my phone, on the website, and by trying to find deleted files through apps on my phone (i.e. I looked for a deleted Excel file and it was not found). They were all different file types - Excel, Word, PDF, pictures. I cannot figure out why it did this, and I haven't been able to find any documentation of a known glitch. Has anyone else had this happen?
How to resolve "Fix folder issues to sync x items"?
OneDrive for Business 25.170 (September 2025) for macOS Sequoia. When I click the OneDrive icon in the menu bar, the popup shows "Fix folder issues to sync 108 items.". Clicking not he message does take me to the root OneDrive for Business folder on macOS - not to the individual items. Also, due to the limited size of the UI - which cannot be expanded - the full path names appear shortened, making it difficult to identify the one which are causing problems. (It is somewhat difficult to understand, who comes up with such an unusable user interface design decision for something as important as potential sync issues, but that is a completely different topic.) Any help how to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Date taken option removed!
I’m finding One Drive increasingly frustrating as a photographer as the date taken option has been removed and my files are badly muddled, this option was part of the app for years so why did the developer remove it. Very annoying for professional photo work so bring it back.
