I was eager to install the official Windows 11 release today, however upon reading first I noticed that ungrouping taskbar icons / showing labels is not available anymore in Windows 11. Why the heck would you remove such a useful feature? This is the only thing preventing me from installing Windows 11. Will this feature come back? Might as well stick with Windows 10 until it sees its return (if ever). Solving this with third party tools is a no go.Solved367KViews90likes126CommentsWindows 11, Start button menu, make it show all apps by default
I upgraded to Windows 11 this week and I don't like the new Start button menu. I don't want "pinned" apps. I want to see All Apps in a list like before. Why don't we get the option to choose how we want things to look? So frustrating. Barbara255KViews30likes128CommentsThe i7-7700K meet the minimun requierments to run Win11. But its not suported, Why?
Hi, I have an i7-7700K. This CPU have TPM 2.0, It's compatible with Secure Boot, it have 4 core up to 4.2 GHz. It also is 64bit. I don't know why this CPU is not supported by Microsoft to install Windows 11. Update, 10/18/2021: Yesterday I bought a MacBook Air, I know that the MacBook isn't the best computer and that you are limited within the horizon of Apple. But I don't trust Microsoft and the new Windows 11. What if I bough another computer of 2.000 US dollars and in some years Microsoft decided that I need a new computer? At least, with the new M1 chip of Apple I know that they will support the hardware and the will send me Updates and give Support.405KViews30likes318CommentsAlt Tab for Multiple Monitors, please
Currently, "Alt+Tab" appears only on the primary monitor which poses an issue when working with a multiple monitor setup. Imagine having 6 monitors, you'll get an "Alt+Tab" that shows all windows/apps open on each of the 6 screens - all on your primary monitor. That makes an alt tab that is so big, with dozens of "screens" that is rather hard to navigate. Good luck trying to figure out which window is open on which monitor. So, I'd like to request to make it more optimal, please considershowing only the open windows/apps on the "ACTIVE /currently used monitor". So that when the user is working on his other screens and presses alt+tab, he can navigate his open windows on that monitor easily. In short, please give each monitor it's own alt+tab, that contains its open windows only. Thank you.66KViews22likes7CommentsClipboard History does not recognize the Delete key on Windows 11
I recently moved to Windows 11 (installed from scratch), and as soon as it was ready I activated the Clipboard History with the Win+V shortcut, since I really liked this feature on Windows 10. But after a short while I noticed the Windows 11 Clipboard History does not recognize the Delete key anymore. On Windows 10 this works: - Invoke the Clipboard History with Win+V - Scroll to the entry you want to delete with your arrow keys - Hit Delete on your keyboard and that entry will be removed from the history. Clipboard History remains open so you can repeat this for as many entries as you like. On Windows 11: - Invoke the Clipboard History with Win+V - Scroll to the entry you want to delete with your arrow keys - Hit Delete on your keyboard, then the Clipboard History closes with no error or message. If you invoke the Clipboard History again, the entry is still there. So apparently there are only two options on Windows 11 now, use the "Clear all" button to remove all the entries from the history. Or click the 3 dots next to each entry you want to remove and then click Delete, which is... annoying if compared to Windows 10. Is there a way to make the Delete key work again?5.3KViews18likes23CommentsWindows 11 Explorer: can't order quick access items in the left pane
I can't reorder the quick access items in the right pane of the windows explorer through drag and drop. It's weird, because if i drag and drop one of them to the top, it works, but if i want to place an item in the middle of the list it doesn't work.31KViews16likes65CommentsWindows 11 is the worst OS I've used after Windows Vista!
I am really not a fan at all! Firstly the default position of the start button is so Inconvenient and if its center aligned it doesn't even remain in the same place. Windows 11 is basically more of a design update to Windows 10. No new or rather user friendly or productive features except for running android apps are present. Start menu is terrible! It has lost its classic touch. Only pinned apps visible, you need to click a button separately to view all apps. Start menu can't be resized, full screen start absent, no live tiles (biggest let down). The WiFi, Sound and Bluetooth bar adds to the inconvenience. Why open all of them if you just want to change the settings of 1. One drive is also not stable. Settings look is OK. Not very impressive. App logos OK. The earlier ones were much better. The Chat, Switch Desktop functions are pinned to the taskbar all the time and cannot remove them. Very annoying. Preview peek desktop on hovering cursor is also missing. I personally liked the feature. Long saying short - I would prefer to use Windows 10 rather than Windows 11 or would even like Windows 7 better than Windows 11. Clearly Windows 11 is just a design update of Windows 10 other than the Android apps. Might as well add the feature to Windows 10! Clearly an unplanned, inconvenient, hard user interfaced and unhelpful operating system. Currently what I feel is that looking at the scenario now I am thinking that Windows 11 will be a fail. No better than Vista. Doesn't provide with any useful features. I would say that this nothing else but a Downgraded OS. I would be highly obliged if Windows 11 would be reworked upon . I am an enthusiast in the field of computers and I'm keen on trying out new features! Hoping to see a much modified Windows 11 on 5th October. Hi. For about a week or 2 I have been getting a new bug. My entire PC freezes when I alt-tab out of a game, specifically VALORANT but it happens with other games as well. Playing on windowed/windowed borderless doesn't help. I can still hear sounds and can even still be heard when in a discord call but the only way to unfreeze is to hit the power button and force restart. I hate having to do this every time I play because it is harmful to my PC. I've seem similar threads before about this issue coming up since the last few weeks none with a real fix. Is Microsoft aware of /looking into the the issue? I've heard it's an issue on windows 11 only hence why I posted here. I even tried to downgrade back to windows 10 but it states it's not possible on this computer anymore. Is there a fix coming? edit: forgot to mention, first exiting fullscreen with F11 and then alt-tabbing out doesn't work either, still freezes214KViews15likes42Comments
