Hi everyone, I have a question related to forms. I work in Teams on a excel file (name: File A) that I need my team to populate with data. Now File A is quite big (and for outsiders a bit messy :)) and I do not want my team members to go into File A. Still, I need their help on gathering information. I thought of using Microsoft Forms to help me. I would set up a questionnaire, let everyone fill it out and I have my data in a new excel file (name: File B). Now the thing is, data would come in every now and then, meaning I regularly have to go back to File B and copy my data in to File A. Is there a way I can let the form populate File A directly and choose where the data would land manually? And if so, how? If not, would any of you have a suggestion how to best tackle my problem? Hi everyone, I wonder if you can help me! I'm trying to setup an operational process between a requisitions form and a stock control excel spreadsheet. The excel spreadsheet lists all of our stock, broken down via mac address for each device (IP phones, modems, networking equipment, etc.). This spreadsheet already automatically tracks stock levels, as well as a few other things. I would like to setup a Form my team can fill in remotely where they can select specific devices for the warehousing team to then set aside for programing. This would automatically remove that device from the spreadsheet to more efficiently track stock levels. Is there a way to link a Microsoft From and Excel spreadsheet to accomplish this? If not, is there another way to accomplish the same goal? Thanks!44KViews0likes2CommentsApostrophes in my spreadsheet :-(
Hi There, I have found apostrophes within the Excel Spreadsheet generated within the Responses from a MS Form. if I create a Form asking for a number to be returned, lets say I am asking for respondents to tell me how many Kms they traveled. This number is entered into the background spreadsheet with a leading Apostrophe 😞 this means I have to remove apostrophes before I can manipulate the result data. THIS IS A PAIN! Can we have the forms set up to not default to returning a text item, because this is why this is happening. C'mon Microsoft ..... whats going on?Solved23KViews2likes12CommentsPre-fill fields in a Microsoft Forms form
Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to pre-fill certain fields in a Microsoft Forms form. I've created a form to collect information, but I'd like to make the process easier for users by pre-filling certain fields with pre-existing data. Is there a feature in Microsoft Forms that allows me to do this? If so, could you tell me how to go about it? To be clearer, I want to do the same thing but with Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Excel: https://antoine-moulard.com/webmarketing/comment-preremplir-champs-google-forms-google-sheets/ Thanks in advance for your help!21KViews0likes5CommentsSorry, something went wrong - backend Excel file
Hi, Anyone know how to get around the issue of the backend Excel file for the responses not opening? Have a couple of forms that have the Sorry, something went wrong message when clicking on the Excel file. Have raised this with MS but no resolution yet12KViews0likes9CommentsMicrosoft Forms notifications with shared form
Hello dear community, I have the following problem: I have created a feedback form with MS Forms. This should automatically insert its results into an Excel table available online. So far so good. But so that my colleagues also have access to this table, I have moved the form to a specially created Teams group (also so that the Excel table takes over all changes live online). Since then, however, no one has received an email notification when the form has been completed (the corresponding box is ticked in the form). Can anyone help me? Briefly about the initial situation: The feedback form should be completed by our guests and a group of employees should be notified by e-mail when a form has been completed. It is equally important to collect the results in a self-synchronising Excel spreadsheet, which our team must have access to. Both for viewing and for making changes. This is because responsibilities need to be assigned and comments made manually. As I said, the core problem is the non-existent e-mail notification as soon as I link the form to an online Excel spreadsheet. Is there a workflow for my problem or am I perhaps making a mistake? I look forward to your answers and thank you in advance. PS: Happy New Year!9.9KViews0likes5CommentsAuto filling Microsoft Form from Excel
Hi all I am hoping to use Microsoft forms as an inspection sheet platform. What I want to do is to use power automate to prefill a Microsoft form with information from an Excel spreadsheet. The sheet will contain a register of businesses we inspect. Power automate will take information from that sheet (business name/address/contact person) and prefill the form with that information. The idea is that an officer in the field on a mobile device can open the register in SharePoint and create an inspection sheet with the business's details prefilled. Is this a possible use case?9.1KViews0likes3Comments
