AlwaysOpenPdfExternally behavior
What we use: AlwaysOpenPdfExternally AutoOpenFileTypes (.pdf) What we want: Do not fill the downloads folder with these pdf files. Don't have to click separately when downloading the pdf to open or download it, but what the name of the gp refers to: AlwaysOpenPdfExternally. Can this be expected to be implemented in some form of GP?NewTabPageManagedQuickLinks (Group Policy)
I just discovered that NewTabPageManagedQuickLinks has a max value of 3. Meaning if I try to pin more than 3 website it errors. Any reason why? This isn't mentioned anywhere in the documentation. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#newtabpagemanagedquicklinks Also, as a suggestion. I think we should be allowed to configure an XML file path instead of having the use a single line format. Having to use single line is a little annoying { "url": "https://www.contoso.com", "title": "Contoso Portal", "pinned": true }, { "url": "https://www.office.com/", "pinned": true, "title": "Office" } ] Compared to an XML file <key>NewTabPageManagedQuickLinks</key> <array> <dict> <key>pinned</key> <true/> <key>title</key> <string>Contoso Portal</string> <key>url</key> <string>https://contoso.com</string> </dict> <dict> <key>pinned</key> <true/> <key>title</key> <string>Office</string> <key>url</key> <string>https://www.office.com</string> </dict> </array>
Unable to get IE mode working through Intune
Hello all, I am trying to get IE mode working with Chromium Edge through Intune. I have enabled the "Configure Internet Explorer integration" policy to be in IE Mode (I have also tested open in IE 11 which also does not work) and enabled and set the "Configure the Enterprise Mode Site List" policy. With the latter policy, I have configured using an XML file in a network location, URL location or just list the URLs out. For a test, I have added google.com. No matter what I do, nothing works.Edge browser crashes after file download / open
Hello, I am using Edge browser Version 142.0.3595.80 (Official build) (64-bit), on Linux. When downloading a file , and trying to open the downloaded file from wihin browser, it causes edge browser instances to close. I have been using other browsers to get around the problem. Is this a known problem, and are there a solution to this problem? Thanks, Jay
Downloads not completing
similar to this one but on an enterprise estate using edge stable as opposed to being an insider https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/edge-downloads-are-not-completing/m-p/4005963 I have replicated this on edge stable beta and dev i've also restarted / refreshed the browser - same issue exists afterwards and no new policies have been rolled out.
Health and Wellness Extension for sidebar
Within the Edge Management Service there is a sidebar app that can be enabled called 'health and wellness' (extension ID pjhpojmiobchgmchbkekckbgeigbbaje). I don't see it listed anywhere on the Edge add on store, and enabling it within the policy settings doesn't do anything. Is this a placeholder for a future extension/addon? Any details that can be shared?"Compatibility View" option not found in EDGE browser
The IE browser is about to be replaced by EDGE (our company no longer allows the use of IE), there is a very important problem that needs your help urgently. There are some very important websites in my work that need to be added to the [Compatibility View] list of the IE browser to open normally, but I can't find this option in the new EDGE browser, there is no previous IE compatibility view setting option, may I ask How to deal with it? Note: I'm looking for the "Compatibility View Settings" option, not "Internet Explorer Mode Pages". The website needs to be added to Compatibility View for the URL to be accessed normally. please add the two URLs "cccf.com.cn" and "safe.gov.cn", thank you.
