Edge Pdf Viewer does not support page=Fit (only FitV or FitH works)
Dear community, I found that the Edge Pdf Viewer does not allow to display a pdf so that its first page fully fits into the window (no part of the PDF is out of the viewport). You can use the following URL to verify: https://creativelab.berkeley.edu/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1920X1080-HORIZONTAL-template.pdf#page=1&view=Fit Test Case 1 When the window width gets too small, the window will display a horizontal scrollbar instead of scaling the pdf to fit the width: Test Case 2 When the window height gets too small, the window will display a vertical scrollbar instead of scaling the pdf to fit the height: When I use either FitV or FitH, the respective behaviour is as expected. But I need to combine both behaviours, and thus Fit would be the right option, which seems to be ignored by Edge. When I test the same parameters in other Browsers that use a Chromium engine, it works. Microsoft Edge Version 141.0.3537.85 (Official Build) (64-Bit) Windows 11 Thanks for any advice and thoughts! [Wayland] PWAs no longer appear as separate app windows — all group under main Edge icon
Hi, Since around 2025-09-07 to 2025-09-10, I’ve noticed that on GNOME (Wayland) all installed PWAs (even across different profiles) now appear grouped under the main Edge browser icon in the GNOME Shell dash/taskbar. Previously, each PWA would open in its own window group with its own icon. This is still the behavior in Chromium/Brave/Chrome, and can be restored there by editing the PWA’s .desktop file to set: StartupWMClass=<same value as Icon> However, Edge now seems to ignore StartupWMClass completely on Wayland, breaking workspace separation and making task switching hard. Environment: Ubuntu 25.04 GNOME 48.0 / Mutter (Wayland) Kernel 6.14.0-29 Intel Iris Xe GPU Edge (latest stable, observed post 2025-09-13) Repro steps: Install any PWA (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Spotify) from Edge Launch it (from any profile) Observe that it appears grouped under the main Edge browser icon Expected: PWA shows under its own icon and window group like in Chromium-based browsers Actual: All PWAs are bundled into the main Edge window group Editing StartupWMClass in the .desktop file no longer helps This regression makes PWAs much harder to manage on Wayland. Please route to the Linux/Wayland team if possible. Thanks!
Google Play Web apps in Edge
Hi Community, We build quite a lot of Webapps in Managed Google Play and assign those to our Android devices managed in Intune as Dedicated with Entra ID Shared device mode. We run MS Edge as the default browser. Lately we have discovered that Webapps, pointing to web sites where you write text in a input field, especially if the text box is at the bottom of the screen, doesn´t behave as we expect. When the virtual keyboard is activated it often hides the text box, making it impossible to see what you write. If we open Edge and manually browse to the same site, it behaves better. I have also tested to open the Web app in Chrome which works as expected. It doesnt matter if I create the Web app with "Fullscreen" "Standalone" or "Minimal UI" display mode. First image shows the site opened manually in Edge. The textbox is moved above the keyboard Same site opened as a Web app. When activating the keyboard, the text box becomes hidden under the keyboardPWA shortcuts don't keep asociated with window - Linux
I recently upgraded to version140.0.3485.14 (Official build) beta (64-bit) and noticed that my PWA, even if they open correctly in a independent window, don't show the "running window counter" on the taskbar. So, for example, if a open Outlook, the window open and loads the app, but if a I click the icon again, it opens another window, wich is a little annoying. I tried removing the PWA from Edge, rebooting, and installing again, but didn't work. Because the only change I made is updating Edge, I think is related to this build. (too lazy to go back or install the stable release)
Adblock extensions stop working Edge iOS on clearing browsing data
Ghostery and uBlock Origin Lite are available on Edge iOS as MV3 extensions for ad blocking but they stops working when Clear Browsing Data option is clicked for either time period, Last hour or All Time For making them work, Edge needs to be restarted or extensions need to be re-enabled I request Edge iOS team to fix this issueWhy are some websites buggy with Edge?
Hello, I have been having this issue with a lot of websites with edge lately, at least for a few months. I've tried, resetting to default settings, reinstalling edge, and deleting cookies and cache and this error occurs. It happens a lot of with youtube where I get buggy comments like in the photo with the loading circle and then a lot of comments won't load past a certain point. It's driving me crazy and I'm afraid of having to switch browsers soon, I'm hoping somebody maybe knows what's going on and can assist. I tried it without extensions, same result as well. For other websites sometimes it doesn't load and I have to fully refresh the page like reddit. When this loading glitch happens with youtube, I have to make a new tab then it fixes itself but bugs out after a few videos again.

We tried: turn off every restriction from Intune - same error. add sites to Edge allowList - same error We cannot find any decription or help on registerAsChildFrameAck. [MS Edge Android] UI Glitch: Suggestions Misaligned in Bottom Search Bar Mode
Hi everyone! I'm experiencing a strange issue with the search suggestions when using bottom bar mode. In Microsoft Edge, there's a blank space between the input bar and the suggestions above it, as shown in the attached image (see the red line). Is anyone else seeing this bug? Any idea how to fix it? How to disable confirmation pop-up in Edge Browser when opening many tabs
I have bookmarks arranged in multiple folders, varying from 10 to 500 or more links per folder. Whenever I try to click on the bookmark folder to open all of them at once, I always get this Pop-up, which is very annoying to me (I was ignoring that pop-up for more than a year). Is there any built-in setting to disable or increase the limit? P.S: FYI, I am on a very high-end laptop(M4 pro with increased RAM & SSD) and due to my use case, I have to regularly, almost every day open many links
