So I have successfully connected Computer A with OneDrive. The Documents, Desktop and Images folder of Computer A are being synched to the cloud. Now I'd like to connect my Computer B with that OneDrive and add the content of the Documents, Desktop and Images folder to the cloud and Computer A's synched folders. Unfortunately, everytime I install OneDrive on Computer B, I just don't get that one tab in the OneDrive settings that says "Manage backup", where I can choose the folders "Documents", "Desktop" and "Images". 1. Why does it look different on Computer B? It's the same version of OneDrive? 2. How can I resolve the issue?Solved1.7KViews0likes4CommentsSorting files in Teams
As stated in at least one other post on this forum which was originally posted in 2017(!!!!!) it is still not fixed by Microsoft! If you have a Teams instance you get an office365 connected group, Sharepoint site and a document library, etc. Within our large organization it is a real nuisance that although files are sorted alphabetically in the connected SharePoint library Teams just keeps on sorting the docs on the last modified date. This just doesn’t makes sense! In some use cases people benefit from the sorting on last modified date but this is a contextual thing. Let’s say I am working on a document and after that I want to sent a mail and attach a document to that mail you can easily make the assumption that I want to be able to quickly share the file I just worked on... Fine... But when accessing an (extensive) document library this isn’t the case. People are just looking for a certain document and at that moment the default last modified sorting option makes that navigation quite a nuisance!! A team should be capable of sorting their document library in any way they find most helpful! Please fix this! I just can’t understand why this minor adjustment isn’t fixed already since it has beenmode three years when it was reported here...10KViews0likes3CommentsDoes documents version history cost storage?
We have allot of SharePoint sites and documents. Version history is enabled in all document libraries. I am just wondering if all the document version history is playing a role in the total storage of the SharePoint site. Who knows?Solved6.1KViews0likes1CommentCan you change Document thumbnails?
I have a library of PDF's that I want to display via Highlighted content Web part on Sharepoint Online. However the preview of the documents are just not the look and feel I am wanting in the webpart. Is there any way to change the thumbnails to actual images and not document preview thumbnails??6.1KViews0likes2CommentsShare point site listing 100 users with information about their training dates and certificates.
Our users need to complete 4 different types of training on a annual basis. We need to record 1) date of last training 2) certificates of the training. Ideally also history of training and certificates (but not necessary) To be blunt all I need is it to look like an excel sheet (100 rows, 4 training columns), but linking that with documents (training certificates) is "doing my head in". The end users will not see this site it is just for me. What would you good people suggest I create.684Views0likes1CommentPosting word document to Teams with links within the document and to external docs......
I am relatively new to Microsoft Teams and the whole Office 365 environment. I am looking for information on how we can better utilize the Teams program for our company. One of the things I want to be able to do is include our Policies and Procedures manual into the file feature of Teams. This document is pretty lengthy with may links to sections within in the document and to external files/forms. We currently have it setup and working within our network environment. But adding to Teams breaks the links. Is there any documentation that shows how something like this can be done? Or is there a better way I can do this?1.3KViews0likes2CommentsFile Ordering help
Hi there, We have set a file/folder structure so that the top level sites are 1, 2, 3 4 then the subfolders within are 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. For some reason if we set the column order so that is orders the files and folders by this number is does this: 1.1 1.10 1.11 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.9 It sets 1.10 and 1.11 (and so on) next to 1.1 in the list although it should be ordering so they show after 1.9. Can you help with this please? It's making the file order very confusing. Thanks981Views0likes0Commentsassignment documents cannot change permissions
hello, we have a few teachers that are unable to change the permission on a document to allow the student to have there own document to edit, they only have the option to delete, the only way that we have seen to fix this is to recreate the assignment, it seems to be linked to the uploading of documents if anyone has any information on this it would be appreciated1.7KViews0likes1CommentOffice 365 SharePoint Online Audit Logs on Users Time Spent on Pages and Documents in Intranet
Hi All, We have a specific requirement in our Office 365 SharePoint Online Intranet to generate audit reports on pages and files(documents) level specifically on the time duration of visit (Time spent on a page / document). I have already checked and searched the unified audit log activities and results in Office 365 Security and Compliance Center for File and Page activities but it doesn't show time duration of visit for users. Are there any other options that are available in Office 365 to audit the Time spent on a page / document activity of users. Any inputs or similar implementation experiences would be very helpful. Thanks.2KViews0likes2Comments
