Can you change Document thumbnails?
I have a library of PDF's that I want to display via Highlighted content Web part on Sharepoint Online.
However the preview of the documents are just not the look and feel I am wanting in the webpart.
Is there any way to change the thumbnails to actual images and not document preview thumbnails??
nsherman1200 Highlighted content web part does not allow the customizations you are looking for.
If you want to show the PDFs from single document library, you can use Library web part on modern page and customize the library view using JSON view formatting.
JSON formatting supports series of tokens that can be used to retrieve the URL to the thumbnail of a file. Check this documentation for more information: JSON formatting Thumbnails

- Not with Highlighted content web part. You would have to use a hero webpart or a couple other options in order to modify that.
