Good day, I have just finished setting up our Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub500. Creating the room and users account as per MS instructions is all done and Teams Room is logged in. I can start a new meeting and project but no meetings are showing up. At the top it says "Cannot Fetch Calendar". What are we doing wrong? Thanks.137KViews0likes46CommentsIs there anyway to turn off the mute announcement in Skype for Business?
Specifically, the announcement of "Mute Off" when you want to talk during a conference call. The volume and duration can make you miss discussion or an opportunity to insert yourself. If we want to encourage people to go on mute to avoid background noise, we ought to eliminate this announcement all together.118KViews3likes10CommentsOAuth 2.0 and third-party application ID: Timeline extended to June 30, 2022!
New implementation timeline: June 30, 2022 To provide our customers with best-in-class security across our services, Microsoft is implementing the use of Microsoft Identity Platform 2.0 (an evolution of the Azure Active Directory identity service) which uses the OAuth 2.0 authorization protocol. OAuth 2.0 is a method through which a third-party app can access web-hosted resources on behalf of a user, through a third-party application ID. This change only impacts Skype for Business IP Phones certified under 3PIP program. Deployment Type Impact Statement Skype for Business Online All phones must be updated and tenant admins must have approved phone partners App ID using the consent URL Skype for Business On-Premises Hybrid (With Modern Auth Deployed) All phones must be updated and tenant admins must have approved phone partners App ID using the consent URL Skype for Business On-Premises Hybrid (No Modern Auth) No Impact Skype for Business On-Premises No Hybrid No Impact As result of this change, Skype for Business IP Phone partners have made a code change to embed the partner specific application ID in their firmware. The customer tenant admin will be required to confirm consent to allow the third-party phone application to be granted the necessary permissions (the same permissions currently being used by Skype for Business IP Phones). Skype for Business IP Phone partners will provide customers with a partner specific consent URL. Customer admin will need to perform a one time, tenant wide (all users), consent per IP Phone partner (i.e. one consent URL for Yealink, one consent URL for Crestron, etc.) Microsoft IP Phone partners will post additional information via their own communication channels, including the firmware version that includes the necessary changes. This change requires customers to perform a 2 step process: Step 1: Accept permissions request using the consent URL (can be done at any time) Step 2: Upgrade all impacted phones to the firmware version communicated by the Microsoft IP Phone partners All certified Skype for Business IP phones must be updated by July 15th, 2020 (originally January 15th, 2020). Without the update, successful authentication to Microsoft services on IP Phones will fail. Specifically, signing to the device via web or using a user name/password on the phone will fail. Customers are encouraged to work with their certified Skype for Business IP Phone provider to make the update before the deadline.98KViews4likes134CommentsHow to add multiple (camera) video streams to an MS Teams meeting (video conference)?
I work for a company that produces a video camera device (ie: webcam) that uses smart AI technology to produce a separate video stream for each person in the camera's field of view (in the room). We would like to each of the multiple camera video streams to an MS Teams meeting (video conference) as if they were separate participants (sitting at another computer attending the same video conference). Any thoughts on how we might do this?42KViews2likes8CommentsPolycom RealPresence Trio 8800
I'm looking at using the Polycom RealPresence Trio 8800 as a replacement for some of our smaller conference rooms. We are currently using a combined traditional conference phone with a Surface tablet with SfB connected for video and chat. It is messy and people cling to their dialtone devices. The goal would be to eliminate the surface tablet and phone for the RealPresence Trio 8800. Is anyone using these who would be willing to share their experience?27KViews0likes43CommentsTEAMS - how to make calls stop ringing on mobile but continue on desktop phone
Hello! I'm trying to figure out how to stop TEAMS from ringing on my mobile but still ring on my desktop AudioCodes phone and teams client on my PC. Currently I have TEAMS set up on my mobile, desktop pc and desktop AudioCodes phone. If I ring my TEAMS assigned number, all 3 of these will ring at the same time. What I'm trying to figure out is if there is an option to stop my mobile teams from ringing whilst the other devices continue to ring? This is a request from some users in my organisation, specifically for when people are in meetings and don't want the phone to ring. I understand can just do a forward to voicemail but this not the specific request i have received. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thankyou!Solved24KViews0likes5Comments
