Edge on Android isn't available for opening PDFs
Android 9 pie and latest version of Edge Android beta, in the file manager when I "Open with" on PDF file, Edge isn't available. I'd like the same features we have on desktop, Mac, Linux to be available on Android and IOS too. if you want the same, please send a feedback through Edge browser about this. thank you
Adding a comment to a DevOps Work Item using a given user
Second time writing this, as when trying to post the first time it gave me an error "invalid html" and discarded all my content -.- In Flow, I am using a DevOps - Update Work Item action, that updates a work item and adds a comment to it, using the Other Field "history" as the content of the comment. The problem is that the author is set to be the owner of the connection that the action is using, yet since the flow is triggering using an email, the author needs to be set dynamically using the email's author (provided he has an account in DevOps). How can I do this? Is there another name in "other fields" section, perhaps something like "Author" that I can use to set the author of the comment given the name, email or id from the email that started the flow? I have two questions: How can make Edge the default browser for a user? I see there is a GPO to set the file type associations as per here but this is per computer. Also, Edge has a button in edge://settings to make it default. is there an API call, CLI tool, registry or the like to do this per user? Maybe even start Edge with a flag to make it default? I wish to simulate the experience users will have when IE11 is retired. Is this GPO the way to do this Disable Internet Explorer 11 | Microsoft Docs ?
Default language -> System language
Hello, Do you know if it is possible for Edge, to use the default language of the system instead of the with which we installed it ? I installed Edge Chromium in my RDS environnement, in french, but we are in few country so I need for every user, to go into the settings to change to the appropriate language. Thank you
Default app listing on Settings for Pale Moon web browser
I have noticed an issue regarding the Pale Moon web browser, installed into Windows. On Settings, Default Apps, Change Default by App, on the user that Pale Moon browser was installed from. The program is listed there three times, not just once. Indeed,. it seems I can change file associations properly when I enter each one of Pale Moon entries in the section, regardless. I have noticed the issue both on the Windows 10 PC at work, and on the machine I test Windows vNext LTSC. I have reported the issue to the developers of Pale Moon, and the main developer told me to report it to Microsoft, in the Windows Insider program. I prefer to use Pale Moon as the main browser. Note that Pale Moon is browser that is derived from Firefox, but it is forked from Firefox a few years back, meaning that it does not share the engine with Firefox (like Waterfox, Iceweseal, SeaMonkey etc), but the developers are in touch with the main Mozilla developers, in order to patch any security vulnerabilities found in Firefox that are enherited by Pale Moon. I have used the standard 64 bit installer from Pale Moon on each case. Pale Moon no long has a build-in pdf viewer, but I use the one from Edge to open pdf files offline. In the latest Edge Canary browser, Version 81.0.411.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit), there is this new option added in the Settings: You can set your default profile and also open links on the web in different profiles from the right-click menu. as you can see I have 2 profiles on my Edge canary right now (1 is connected to my Outlook.com and the other is an offline/local profile). my Outlook.com profile is set as default, but now I have the ability to open links on my 2nd profile too.
Default Main Calendar Color and Legend
Hi all, I am trying to change the Default Main calendar color. NOT the overlays, but the main calendar. I have tried doing some css coding with HTML Form Web Part, but i cant manage to get it right. You can see the main "SETA Calendar" is blue. We want it to be purple. Any ideas?Outlook / Office links opening in Edge (with Sidebar)
Hi All, There has been a recent change in the way that URL's from office, in my case Outlook, open.. For my current employer they use specific SaaS tools that only work in Google Chrome so i've set the default browser for all workplaces on Chrome. Same as this tutorial: Set Google Chrome as Default Browser Using Intune – Learn Azure, OpenAI, M365, Terraform, Cybersecurity (ntweekly.com) But now the strange thing, despite having Chrome as default browser on the system, and having a cloud policy and configuration profile activated, the weblinks still open in EDGE.. Very frustrating for end users, does anyone have a permanent solution for this or encountered the same?
