copilot in word
57 TopicsHow can I permanently remove the irritating copilot icon from my word document
How do I get rid of this from the documents I create? I have copilot switched off in preferences and I have it deleted from my menu bar and yet, I just can't get rid of this icon/text? How do I just get a normal word document? I noticed that my subscription sneakily went up to £105 per year from £80 per year and the only way to revert back to my old subscription was to cancel it. So, I don't have copilot switched on, nor am I or will I pay for it but the copilot prompt just won't disappear. Any ideas would be welcome... thanks8.3KViews2likes7CommentsOverview of Copilot solutions and Key Benefits
Copilot isn’t one-size-fits-all. Each solution addresses different organizational needs. Here’s what they do—and why they matter. Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is a conversational experience on web and mobile that delivers quick, context-aware answers from organizational data. It provides quick, context-aware answers from organizational data, improving responsiveness across departments while supporting mobile work scenarios. Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI assistant built into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. It accelerates document creation, data analysis, and presentations and helps you catch up on meetings and messages. Copilot uses the context you already have in Microsoft 365—files, emails, chats, and calendars—through Microsoft Graph and respects the same permissions, security, and compliance your organization relies on. Microsoft Copilot Studio is a platform for extensibility and customization. It lets you build custom copilots and extend existing ones without writing code. Copilot Studio allows businesses to tailor AI to unique workflows without heavy development investment, accelerating innovation. Key benefits for organizations Copilot delivers three core benefits that impact the entire organization: Benefit How benefit achieved Example scenario Boost productivity by automating repetitive tasks. I have seen a few articles on this website, and I know it's not possible but I'm going to ask anyway. For reference this is what I'm referring to: It's more I find the little thing following me around on my screen to be annoying and distracting, I've managed to hide or disable anything related to copilot on my system except this little dingbat. When a new document is open you get a little message that says "Select the icon or press Alt + i to draft with copilot" It would be nice if I could hide that as well, yes copilot is a *feature*, and I don't care about it. I also want to hide the paste with copilot and just used the local paste options that were built into previous versions of word. I suspect that there is a copilot dingbat that is stored somewhere on my system, possibly in a font, and as I have already made a few detrimental modifications to my operating system registry, I'm not wary of messing up my computer any more than it could be. The only saving grace I have at the moment is there is an issue with my account, so any accidental triggering of the feature causes it to crap out. (So long as I don't accidentally press the 'fix account" button) I know that if it was easy to turn off there would be a button for it, I know Microsoft probably wants us to use this feature because it means more data for them to collect, an I'm disappointed in the loss of user agency that's resulted from this rollout, and there's a spike in animosity towards AI in general.Solved34KViews20likes36CommentsMicrosoft copilot stops while giving a response.
Why is this happening? Is there a solution for this? It just stops while giving response. And it has happened several times. And you can't even give prompt to continue from there. You should restart it. Does anyone have a solution for this? and I have restarted and reinstalled it 1000 times.9KViews1like16CommentsData Extraction and Manipulation
Right. So I have been trying to achieve the following; Extract Key Data from a structured PDF > Push this Key Data into a Word/Excel document I can get parts of this process to work. Copilot seems pretty good at extracting data from PDFs and Excel files etc, it will show me the correct data in the chat. BUT when I ask it to push this into a pre-existing word template it just doesnt work. The best result I had was when Copilot added the Key Data to the end of the Word doc. Not what I wanted but not a million miles off. Its also fine with putting this into a new word document. So it feels like Copilot has all the functionaility required but just wont combine this with using a pre-existing word/excel template. I even tried content control boxes. For some context, this sort of thing (basically copying pasting data from one doc to another) is incredibly time consuming and there is a LOT of this in my industry. Hoping that there is a way to achieve this, even if it means multiple steps etc! 🙃1.7KViews0likes2CommentsOpciones de Copilot e IA no funcionan en apps de android para tablet

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed that the Copilot prompt recommendation no longer appears in Word Online. Normally, when I type "prepare," I see a suggested prompt, but now I only see my prompt history. In the MS365 app, however, the recommendations still appear. I’ve confirmed that I have an active full Copilot license and that all MS products are updated. Has Microsoft removed this feature, or is there a setting I can enable to restore it? This feature is very helpful for quickly generating accurate prompts. Thanks in advance!109Views0likes4Comments
