In my organization, we use a shared mailbox to share a public address book. Is there a way to add it to the new Outlook for Windows? I can see the shared mailbox correctly under ‘Mail -> Shared with Me’, but there’s nothing about shared mailboxes in the ‘People’ tab. I have also tried to manually add the shared mailbox as a standalone account, but it just loads indefinitely after I type in the address Outlook client version: 20231006004.16 Windows 11, build 22621.242817KViews9likes12CommentsThe New People Directory Search Experience in Outlook: Smarter, Faster, and More Connected Than Ever

Hey folks, i'm struggling at this for years, as you can see in my previus post from 2020. Let me shorten this: Scenario We have iOS Devices with Outlook for iOS installed. The users have many contacts in their EXO Mailboxes When a user gets a call from one of his contacts, the phone number is presented instead of the name (no Caller identification) Approaches I already know this MS articles belonging to Contact Sync. So i've learned that this leads to a running contact sync without the need of an icloud Account. The contacts could be written directly between Outlook for iOS and the native contacts app. (Better than nothing ) The Problem is, that if contact sync is in use ANY App could see these contacts. (Including Whatsapp, etc...) Because of GDPR this is a no-brainer. Many other solutions are using Apple Call-Kit, so that the incoming call is identified (name is shown) just without any need of contacts to be present in the native contact app. I didn't found anything belonging Call-Kit or any other possible solution for this issue, yet. There MUST be any better solutions except syncronizing all the contacts, isn't it? ANY Answer is highly appreciated. (At least the positive ones ) Regards, Patrick!6.9KViews2likes8CommentsDuplicate contact details when syncing Skype for Business
Morning all, I use Skype for Business on my Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 mobile phone and all contact details for all 'contact based apps' are synced to the contacts app. However, if I view a contact who I use with Skype for Business, their contact details (email address, phone numbers) are duplicated numerous times. If I try to edit the contact within my Contacts app, everything is fine for the Exchange Active sync details and WhatsApp details, but for Skype for Business I see their phone numbers and email address duplicated about 30 times each. This is very frustrating, so has anyone seen this behavious before please? Thanks, Oz4.3KViews1like7CommentsOutlook for Android no longer grouping contact info...
I just started having an odd issue with all the contacts in the Outlook app on my Android phone... For contacts that have multiple contact information (ie: a mobile number, house number, and or email address) listed, the app is breaking out the contacts as separate contacts. Example: If I have James Kirk listed in my phone with a number of 555-111-1701 and an email address as jkirk@fakedomain, he no longer shows up on my phone as James Kirk; instead there are two contacts - one called 555-111-1701 and the other jkirk@fakedomain. Contacts show up correctly in the Outlook desktop app and on the Outlook website. If I modify or add contacts on the desktop app, the change is almost immediately reflected on the Outlook website. Some of the troubleshooting I've done already: Cleared the app cache from the Phone's settings Reset the account from within the app disabled/re-enabled contact synchronization Modified a contact on the desktop app to see if they'd re-sync correctly - had no effect Deleted the account (the contacts disappear when deleted, but come back janky when it's re-added) Uninstalled and re-installed the app Rebooted the phone (for good measure) uninstalling and re-installing the app seemed to fix the problem initially. Right when i setup the app again all the contacts came back looking correct. It's been several hours since I did this and i just took a look at my contact list and it's all janky again. It's not just a visual issue on the phone - it's affecting Contact synchronization with the phone's contact app, and everything else on the phone that relies on contacts. Any idea what's going on and how to fix it for good? TIA53Views1like5CommentsNew Outlook, can I access my contacts from more than one email account?
Is there any way I can access my extensive list of contacts from more than one email address/account? Currently they are all listed under my default email address account, but I sometimes need to send to people from those contacts using a different email account. Grateful for any help. Hello guys, I am struggling with a specific use-case: I would like to allow users to save Outlook contacts (company email == company contacts) to the native iOS contacts app. Outlook is a managed app and is available to all users. Now I am not quite sure based on the recent blog and the https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/device-restrictions-ios#app-store-doc-viewing-gaming how to configure it properly without allowing un-managed apps (like WhatsApp) so see or sync the managed contacts that were synced from Outlook to the native contacts app. Especially the official documentation is a bit confusing. On the setting Viewing non-corporate documents in corporate apps it states that it blocks "viewing non-corporate documents in unmanaged apps". Which does not make sense from my point of view. Instead it should be "prevents viewing corporate documents in unmanaged apps" or am I missing something? Just to rephrase my use-case and what I want to achieve, for better understanding: I want to log-in in Outlook with my work account and sync my business contacts to the native iOS contacts app. However, I want to prevent unmanaged apps to be able to see or sync the business contacts. Currently I have the device restriction profile configured as follows: https://i.redd.it/9hrib77ikwf21.png Thank you for your help!5.3KViews1like5CommentsYealink MP56 Microsoft Teams Certified handsets do not sync Outlook contacts
We've deployed a number of Yealink MP56 headsets and cannot get Outlook contacts to sync. We've attempted just about everything to force a sync, but it appears as though the handsets only display contacts in the Speed Dial list from the desktop client. Has anyone come across a fix for this, or is it just a Teams bug? Microsoft Teams desktop client syncs great, however, those contacts don't sync on the handset.27KViews1like21Comments
