Good morning, I’m using Office 365 (Office 2019 at home). I wanted to ask if it’s possible in Word to create captions for images, including sub-captions, with all the corresponding indexes reflecting the hierarchy. I mean something similar to the photo below.23Views0likes0CommentsCaption/transcription generation issues?
The option to generate captions/transcriptions for videos stored in SharePoint/OneDrive has been working fine in our tenant for months, but yesterday users started reporting an error message. When attempting to generate captions, the message indicated that the request could not be completed. By late evening (10 PM EST), the request process was working, but as of 9:30 this morning, no captions have been generated, even for very short videos. There's nothing in the Service Health section of the admin center, so not sure what's going on. EDIT: I just tried requesting captions in another tenant and am getting the same message as yesterday We're having trouble generating a transcript and captions right now. Try again in a bit.16KViews6likes34CommentsLive Captions in 'Call' and 'when presenting'
Hi, Is there a way for captions to be displayed when calling one person direct? Also when in a meeting and it's my turn to present, the captions disappear as I'm presenting. Is there a way for the captions to still show so I can understand questions when they come through from attendees? It's life-changing having captions, although I feel they're still quite restricted. Hi I am writing a report with two different sets of captions I created one caption called "Table" and "Figure" I made another set "S Table" and "S Figure" for Supplemental information. In my table of contents when I select "Update Fields" --> "Entire Document" it seems my table of contents is omitting my supplemental figures and tables. How do I fix this?1.1KViews0likes1CommentRemoving Style Properties
Hi All - Hope someone can help me with this issue. Is there a way to remove style properties? Background I have inherited a template document with many styles and unfortunately other users have added properties to the default built-in styles. I would like to remove these.Solved2.8KViews0likes16CommentsLive captions available in Microsoft Edge Picture-in-Picture mode
I tried it on this video that has captions available on YouTube and is in English, but it didn't work, so I'm not sure how and where it will appear, maybe not fully implemented in this build yet and will become usable in the future build. I'm also not sure whether this means Edge will just take the caption from a video like in YouTube and show it over the PiP, Or, it actually translates the voice of the video into captions and shows it to user which would be totally awesome (using speech to text capabilities). This is on Microsoft Edge Version 91.0.836.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) you need to enable these flags to get Global Media controls and PiP in them edge://flags/#global-media-controls edge://flags/#global-media-controls-picture-in-picture also if you don't have Live Captions feature, it's probably due to CFR28KViews2likes7CommentsShare your voice: Video Accessibility (captions, etc.)

I'm a high school teacher from Australia. I've been using FLIP teaching for mathematics for a while now. Since our school moved over to microsoft stuff, I started hosting my videos on Stream. The autogenerate captions is ON by default, so I just left them since my students get a kick out of how badly it interprets my Aussie accent. I assumed that whatever dictionary the words were drawn from wouldn't include offensive words or would censor them. However, just yesterday one of my students pointed out that the autocaptioning was putting "n****r" (censoring mine) into the autocaption without censoring when I said "megalitre". Now, I understand that the autogenerator is completely garbage at interpreting me - that's not my problem - I'm unimpressed that "n****r" is even turning up uncensored, especially when it its being put into a video that couldn't be further removed from that. Now I have to go through all my videos and turn off the autocaptioning. I recommend Microsoft correct their Autocaptioner. Screencap of video and uncensored captioning is attached.
