9 TopicsCaption/transcription generation issues?
The option to generate captions/transcriptions for videos stored in SharePoint/OneDrive has been working fine in our tenant for months, but yesterday users started reporting an error message. When attempting to generate captions, the message indicated that the request could not be completed. By late evening (10 PM EST), the request process was working, but as of 9:30 this morning, no captions have been generated, even for very short videos. There's nothing in the Service Health section of the admin center, so not sure what's going on. EDIT: I just tried requesting captions in another tenant and am getting the same message as yesterday We're having trouble generating a transcript and captions right now. Try again in a bit.17KViews6likes34CommentsLive captions available in Microsoft Edge Picture-in-Picture mode
I tried it on this video that has captions available on YouTube and is in English, but it didn't work, so I'm not sure how and where it will appear, maybe not fully implemented in this build yet and will become usable in the future build. I'm also not sure whether this means Edge will just take the caption from a video like in YouTube and show it over the PiP, Or, it actually translates the voice of the video into captions and shows it to user which would be totally awesome (using speech to text capabilities). This is on Microsoft Edge Version 91.0.836.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) you need to enable these flags to get Global Media controls and PiP in them edge://flags/#global-media-controls edge://flags/#global-media-controls-picture-in-picture also if you don't have Live Captions feature, it's probably due to CFR29KViews2likes7CommentsLive Captions in 'Call' and 'when presenting'
Hi, Is there a way for captions to be displayed when calling one person direct? Also when in a meeting and it's my turn to present, the captions disappear as I'm presenting. Is there a way for the captions to still show so I can understand questions when they come through from attendees? It's life-changing having captions, although I feel they're still quite restricted.
