I am on a mac and the teams app not recognizing my camera (other than the built in camera) anymore. I have my laptop closed when connected to my monitor so using the built in camera isn't a good option so i've been using a smartphone as my camera. It was working in teams prior to a Catalina update, so I'm unsure if it's related. I have teams authorized to use the camera in my security and privacy settings so that has not helped. Skype for business also will not recognize the camera either. I tested other apps (eg. zoom) and the browser version of teams and it does recognize the cameras, so to get it to work i have to use teams through the browser to have a video call. I've tried multiple ways of connecting the camera, tested other cameras. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the camera apps and teams/skype, I've also tried resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). Same issues, works in everything but teams and skype for business desktop apps. Not understanding why this is and hoping a fix or workaround shows up soon. Would rather not have to use the browser version just for teams.3.2KViews0likes1CommentOwn Camera Preview not shown to the Meeting Member using it only
Hi Community, The preview cam in meetings is not visible (no error) on all our Teams Rooms, but only for the one using them. it looks the following for us in our conferenceroom. To the one we are inviting we are perfectly visible, as you can see within the next picture: Even the preview section of the devices Teams-settings look fine and show the picture we need to see: Tried some troubleshooting without success: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/camera-greyed-out-in-teams-call/d636e53b-54b3-4a82-9eac-eb5365dfb02a#:~:text=The%20camera%20is%20greyed%20means,Settings%3EPrivacy%3ECamera). https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/why-cant-i-see-myself-during-video-call-in-teams/edf18a3f-f0af-4d21-aa96-fbfe7f842ee9?page=1 But both of those threads seem to work on other issues even if the questions look like our problem. The second thing is that most of the settings mentioned in those answers are not even accessible from our teams room. Thank you for answering in advance.2.5KViews0likes3CommentsMy 30 Minutes with Teams - a User Experience!
Hi Teams, I'm just new to MS Teams and beside of a little annoying registration process I bought a new camera to be a bit more up to date. Ya, that was my plan but I were astonished very quickly about the result. My 10 Years old 1.3 MP Logitech 500 is way faster (no stuttering frames) with a still good picture as my new Aukey PCLM1e. With the Aukey I get only 5-10 Frames per second in MS Teams and (...that hurts a bit) from scratch 30 Frames in "Your" Skype and any other Communication Tool like Zoom etc. - why? And what I noticed: No any Options for Cameras Settings which is a Topic in this Forum since months as I saw! What If I had bought a bunch of cameras for my Team before testing!? So, I were just 30 Minutes inside MS Teams and my first intention is: Leave it! Lifetime are lost, 50 Bucks are gone! I have an issue where the camera will freeze when I am in a chat. If I call someone one on one then the laptop camera will work as intended. If I join a meeting though then the on-board camera will freeze after about 2 seconds. I can plug in a third party camera via usb-c and it will always work though. I have tried installing the latest device drivers and my computer is up to date. Is this a known issue? Or is there a work around for the Surface Laptop AMD? Thanks! I want to be able to travel without having to carry a third party camera.2KViews0likes0CommentsBlack Camera HP machine beta version

I started having this issue in December, and finally had a time to try and resolve it today. I contacted support and they said since I'm in the Windows Insider Program, the only support is through this forum. Camera and Audio In early December, my camera stopped working in both Teams and Zoom. Didn't think much of it at the time, but it is persistent, and now I'm doing all my video calls on my iPad. File Explorer - When I click on File Explorer, my display flashes for a second and doesn't do anything. I can get to my files by opening up Control Panel, and then hitting the up arrow to get to my folders. Corrupted Files - I ran a scan in the command prompt (sfc /snannow) and received the following messages (Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.) - I have the log from today Repair Not working - I went through a whole repair process and tried to reinstall the bad files, but that failed. I almost bricked my OS and lucky to be back where I am. Current setup: - Tablet with a Windows 10 IoT Enterprise image - Application communicates to a USB camera on startup - Application setup with as the custom shell (instead of explorer.exe) - USB camera uses the pre-installed usbvideo.sys driver. Issue: I have an issue with a USB camera video system that is permanently connected to a tablet (via an internal USB hub). On some tablets the camera is correctly initialized and the application can see a video stream but on others it does not initialize. Only by manually re-installing the drivers via device manager does it seem to fix it. In some cases, the tablet ends up failing again and the drivers need to be re-installed again. What could be the issue and how could I fix it? Does this happen to anyone else?39Views1like1Comment
