I wanted to change the name "Client" to something else, so I followed a guide that said to use netplwiz. But I accidentally changed the wrong field and now I can't open anything on my laptop. Even trying to check system info gives an error: "The parameter is incorrect." I tried adding a new user through cmd but got access denied. Laptop is an MSI Cyborg 15 running Windows 11. Anyone know how to undo this without wiping everything?11Views0likes0CommentsBorder around right-click context menu – is this new or just a bug?
Switched back to the old context menu recently using Chris Titus's Windows util. Don't remember seeing a border around it before—is this a native Windows 11 thing now? Looks nice either way. Edit: It disappears after a restart. Seems to happen when I boot with both TV and monitor connected—output defaults to the TV, and when I switch to the monitor, the border shows up. Probably a scaling-related visual bug, though I have no clue how that affects the context menu. Somehow it does. Also noticed shortcut icons aren't showing the usual arrow indicator—everything in the screenshot except This PC, Recycle Bin, and folders is a shortcut. And some Windows-related icons in the context menu look glitched too.62Views0likes4CommentsWindows11 Microsoft Store download progress bar stays at 0% when updating Store apps
When updating apps from the Microsoft Store, the download progress bar often remains at 0% for an extended period and then suddenly completes. This issue occurs even with a fast internet connection and has been observed on multiple devices. Pausing and resuming the download can temporarily resolve the progress bar display issue, but the problem reoccurs when updating or downloading a new app during the same session.31Views0likes1CommentAutocorrect works everywhere except Copilot – any fix?
For a couple months now, autocorrect has stopped working in Copilot. It still works fine in the Settings app—typing "windosw" automatically corrects to "windows"–but in Copilot, nothing happens. No red underlines, no corrections. Notepad shows the underlines but doesn't correct either. I've looked around for a fix but haven't found anything. It would be great if Windows autocorrect worked like SwiftKey on Android—consistent across every app. Anyone else dealing with this or know how to get it working again?37Views0likes2CommentsPOS System Document Not Working After Windows 11 Security Updates
After the automatic installation of the Windows 11 security updates KB5120708 and KB5122385, my POS system document stopped working properly. The document contains images stored on the C:\ drive. After installing these updates, the document no longer works. However, when the updates are uninstalled/removed, the document works normally again, including the images. Observed behavior: Before installing the updates: The document worked normally. After installing KB5120708 and KB5122385: The document stopped working. After uninstalling the updates: The document works normally again. This indicates that one of these Windows updates may be causing a compatibility issue with the POS system, particularly when the document contains images stored on the C:\ drive. Please investigate and advise on a permanent solution or workaround.34Views0likes1CommentOne Drive does not automatically update when A new version is released.

Been stuck on this for a couple days now. Windows Security keeps telling me it couldn't sign me into my Microsoft account and that there's some kind of problem with my PC. Minecraft won't let me log in either—says I "do not have an internet connection." Except everything else works fine. Browser, other apps, all online. It's been like this for days, so I doubt it's just a server hiccup. Running a Ryzen 7 7900X, 32GB DDR5, RX 7800 XT, OS build 26200.8973. Minecraft error is 0x800704cf—tried every fix I could find, nothing worked. Anyone else seen this?94Views0likes3CommentsHow often do you reinstall Windows 11?
I've had mine for about two and a half years now. It started getting pretty slow at startup, so I finally bit the bullet and did a complete reinstall from a USB stick—wiped the main drive and started fresh. Definitely feels snappier now. Over the years, I've swapped GPUs a couple times—Nvidia to AMD and back to Nvidia—and installed/uninstalled countless apps. Pretty sure all that clutter was taking a toll on performance. Just curious—how often do you guys reinstall? Once a year? Every few years? Or do you just deal with the slowdown until it becomes unbearable?70Views0likes2CommentsIs this the Microsoft Windows Application Compatibility fix Database?
My Windows 11 25H2 laptop has an application called "Microsoft Windows Application Compatibility fix Database" that inexplicably appeared in "Settings" → "Applications". It was installed around 4 PM today; I didn't click on any applications, it just suddenly appeared. Does anyone know what this application is? Its location is C:\Windows\AppPatch, and the modification date has also changed.6.2KViews3likes10CommentsWin11 Delete key stops working for file deletion after renaming a file
After renaming a file and pressing Enter to confirm the new name, you may sometimes find that the Delete key does not work to delete the selected file in File Explorer. The Delete key still works normally in other applications. Restarting File Explorer will restore the Delete key's functionality, but the issue may reoccur after the next renaming operation.77Views0likes3Comments
