I use the Onedrive App on my Macbook Pro M2 Max with the latest Sequoia 15.3.1. I own Microsoft 365 family. In there are three users that share some of their OneDrive folders to some other users of the same family. Now I see that suddenly a shared folder (FOTOS_2024-) is not any more visible in Finder, but it is visible online and sharing is allowed. But it is not in the selection of synchronised folders in the OneDrive properties (see screenprint below) How can I correct this that I have the missing folder again in Finder?662Views5likes4CommentsThe new tech community is user hostile
The new tech community is user hostile. In the past it was so simple to drop by and ask a question or read new blog posts. The user hostility starts already with the menu bar at the top. "Tech Community", "Community Hubs", "Products", "Topics", etc. What is all that? It is overwhelming. Then I click on "Lounge", because I remember from before that this was the place to discuss the Tech Community itself. I immediately see a list "Recent Discussion". Ok, great, I am at the right place. But how in the world do I start a new discussion? There is no button to be found on the entire page. Aber searching for another 5 minutes, by pure chance, I see a small link "Discussion Spaces" above it and click it. Now "Spaces" is displayed to me and a space "Tech Community Discussion" is shown. I click it. A new page loads, that looks exactly like the page I just left. I see the same "Recent Discussion", but here they're called "Latest Discussions". And – Oh, wonder! – Now there's a blue button on the right called Start a Discussion. But I'm not done. The reason I write this post is because I have a question about editing PIM role settings. The documentation is everything but helpful. I want to ask for help. What was straight forward in the old forums is horrendous in these forums. Where in the main menu bar at the top would I even start? I click on "Community Hubs". Ok, looks good. As I don't immediately see a Hub related to Microsoft Entra ID, I use the search. I type "entr" (because I'm lazy) – nothing. I type "sec" – again nothing. I type "azu" – nothing. But wait, nothing on Azure? That cannot be! I type "azu" and then slowly continue to type in the other characters. Once I hit "Azure" I get a result. I'm surprised and type "security" – oh now there is a result! The search refuses to actually search for substrings. That is surprising, and surprisingly hostile! Since I haven't found anything on Microsoft Entra ID, I decided to write something in the Security hub. I click on it. After scrolling down I see "Recent Discussions", but no button to start a new discussion. After having written all this, I go back to the space with everything I learned and search for the "Discussion Spaces" button, and there is not one! Why is there no "Discussion Spaces" button, when on the Lounge there is? How do I start a discussion on the Security Hub? Not counting the time I write this feedback, it took 15 minutes out of my day just trying to find a place where I can ask my question and I never had this problem in the old forums. At this point, I give up. I'm frustrated and I am angry. How do you (Microsoft, YOU) think this is acceptable?274Views4likes6Comments"Recent blogs”, RSS functionality
This topic has already been addressed in other posts. Recent blogs The current sorting order does not follow any obvious logic, not even the logic “descending by date”. This is not very helpful and corresponding new blogs are not recognized and overlooked. RSS Why is this feature no longer available? In a transitional phase, this feature could also compensate for the missing sorting order of the blogs.141Views3likes3CommentsUnexpected Error when navigating the Microsoft Tech Community

Title: File Explorer search box “sparkle” animation — please add a toggle / respect Animation effects Who thought it was a good idea to add a sparkly magnifying-glass animation in the File Explorer search box? It’s very distracting (a strong exogenous / stimulus-driven attention trigger). Is there a way to disable it, or can we get a toggle? Video (shows the animation): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvN7ouOXTy0 Steps to reproduce: 1) Open File Explorer → the magnifying glass plays a sparkly animation Expected: With “Animation effects” off, the search UI should remain static. Actual: The sparkle animation still plays even with animations disabled. Workarounds tried: - Settings > Accessibility > Visual effects > Animation effects = Off - Performance Options: unchecked “Animate controls and elements inside windows” - Restarted Explorer / rebooted → Animation persists. We have had this 'new' platform for a while now and it still has serious usability issues: a) the auto-logout is infuriating. I can be active on the site and in the middle of reply and get logged out. what the heck. b) auto-logout part 2. when I get logged out initially my user name and icon will stay in upper right corner but the alert buttong shows new message but in reality it is that I was logged out c) login is buggy. sometimes when I login I get dumped into the main section and not even logged in so I repeat the exact same log in process again to get logged in and then have to re-navigate back to the forum/group I was in. d) the auto-moderator is a problem. for no apparent reason posts will be 'held' in limbo for days. there is no indicator to the user that their post is pending it just looks like it disappeared. e) it is extremely hard to navigate posts with many replies. On some threads there are numerous "see more" and literally spend minutes trying to find the most recent post in the thread (I literally have to first search for "show more" and click each and then search for "min" or "hour" to find recent post(s) there are sooo many more issues but at least this a start of my top 5 will there be any updates to this forum?305Views2likes6Comments
