Word 365
6 TopicsImages used in Word template are not displayed in the email message (Mac OS, MS Word Mail Merge)
Hello, I'm struggling on this matter. Tried tons of things but nothing is helping to reveal the images within the email. Please find more details below. 1. First, I create the email message content (it consists of banner image + text) - please check attached screenshot I tried to insert image via Insert tab of Word, via dragging and putting it in the document, via copying and pasting and via all possible available options. 2. Set Mail merge settings (recipients, merge tags, etc.) 3. Send it as a HTML message. I receive the email properly. The only issue I have is that the inserted image is not being displayed. On outlook shows with a question mark and in Gmail it is not showing at all. It just shows as [cid:image001.png@01D7038D.E5D9B080] placeholder. The strange thing is that when sending this same template from Windows Word Mail Merge, it works perfectly, no issues with it. The issues start when I use Mac Word Mail Merge. Any ideas or help will be very very much appreciated. Many thanks2.7KViews0likes1CommentQuickpart Label is missing in my documents
Hello, I'm looking for a solution to implement version number from Sharepoint on my Word documents. I found something which works last month: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d7edacd9-3818-4b66-982a-daa1846fbe2a/add-the-sharepoint-version-number-to-a-word-document?forum=onlineservicessharepoint https://businesscloudintegration.co.uk/feature-of-the-week-version-number-quick-parts Using this solution, I configure my library as follows: I tried with a document created using the "new" menu of Sharepoint and another imported to Sharepoint, but I have the same result, the label is still missing: Here, I found some people with the same problem, but nothing works for me: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/6607b861-0e14-42ff-912c-000c8ff9b791/quick-parts-label-contents-missing?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/missing-label-option-in-quick-parts-document/ce6d7c58-38ee-4643-947c-bf0123d8368d I don't know if it is linked, but since August, some behaviors are different. And I'm afraid that this solution is now deprecated, but I found nothing in the release notes of august concerning labels. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-microsoft365-apps-by-date If labels are deprecated, another solution exists? Hello all, Since a few days ago, I noticed that new documents placed in an existing library would open as Read Only em MS Word desktop app. Also, Word would have the yellow bar stating Loading Blocked, and requesting the doc to be saved to a new file. The same would not happen in Word web app. After some investigation, I believe the issue is linked with the library option "Content Approval" being set to yes. Turning it off makes the issue disappear. The library settings were not changed in a while, and this library has been used for at least one year already and, as I said, the issue started a few days (maybe one week) ago. We require Content Approval since we control current/under revision versions of each document. I'm posting a screenshot of the library settings, if that helps. Thanks for any advice. So I've been using custom bullets for years, in January 2025 there was no issue. I was unable to work on my document since then because of issues with my PC. Yesterday when I opened my document, my bullets no longer had transparency. Normally, it wouldn't be a problem because the background is also white, but in this document, I have background images as well. As you can see the background on the bullets stand out. The file is a PNG with a transparent background. I have tried replacing it more than once, I have 2 different bullets in this document and they are both doing it. I checked another document that was fine in the past and it too is having the issue. I opened a brand new doc and changed the background color of the doc and it does the same thing. I contacted M365 support, it was painful they didn't even know how to do a custom bullet, they were looking for picture settings... Hehe. Anyway, they told me to post here. To me it's something in Word itself because it was working before. The doc is NOT in compatibility mode or anything like that. I can't find anything on the Internet and its frustrating me to no end. Of course I could take the custom bullets out but this is going to be a publish book, that little extra flair is everything, and this is the 4th book in the series, and having it differ from the first three.... Again it's in the details, readers might not care, but I care.Solved181Views0likes6Comments
