User Profile
6 TopicsOld Team User / Profile still availble - cannot be deleted - does not work.
Hi, I am using Teams with my private account. Some months ago I changes my e-mail from mailto:...@hotmail.com to mailto:...@outlook.de. With my new outlook.de Account I can use Teams but I still "see" the old Profile but cannot login or change it. How could the old profile be deleted? I already deleted Teams and reinstalled it on my Mac - still the old profile shows up - must be something within the Microsoft settings. How and where could that old profile be removed? Any ideas? Herre you see my current profile I am logged in, but you also see the "emty" profile with the red alert sign. When I try to switch to it, I get that error: The old hotmail.com account is not working. thanks for any feedback - support.136Views0likes1CommentAzure AD Endpoint Manager User Profile Corruption: Black Screen Flashing Taskbar Explorer Crash Loop
We are in the midst of a Azure/Endpoint Manager (Intune) Migration. 300+ Endpoints and are running into deployment nightmare: We are experiencing a very odd, completely random issue when a previously Synced Hybrid Azure AD User logs into their endpoint (which was previously working without issue for weeks/months) and then suddenly fails to load. This issue only seems to occur when NEW endpoints are added to the Azure AD tenant/domain. We know the issue is about to happen when you receive a call from an end-user stating their previously working credentials are "no longer working". When the the user attempts to login via "other user"; The login will proceed, and the user will login to a black desktop/screen and flashing taskbar. Windows Task Manager is not responsive; Safe-mode options will not produce a better end result. Upon reviewing the logs you will see "explorer.exe" crash loop prompting urtcbase.dll. Azure AD homed user accounts and local user accounts are able to login without issue into the endpoint. The issue is only specific to Hybrid Azure AD User Profiles (on-premise cached/home' d accounts). I'm thinking it has to do with a conflict of the on-premise SAM Account name. I'm not sure why adding new endpoints to the tenant causes the issue. This particular issue is happening across all different makes, models, and Window Image variations. The issue is specific to only Azure AD Profiles that attempt to login to the endpoint. Precursors: Incorrect password prompt. Requires uses to select "other user" After selecting other user, user profile experiences delayed "Welcome" Black screen appears with flashing taskbar, rending the profile useless If we attempt a Wipe/Restore the issue will randomly reoccur on another workstation. I believe the issue is specific in the way Windows try to load/create the profile for Azure AD users. I'm not sure if AutoPilot is attempting to configure these endpoints in Hybrid mode. However we've noticed discrepancies in the naming convention of some profiles and domains. For example: AzureAD\FirstLastName shortdomain\FLast I believe the User Profile Service is somehow bugged and causing a mismatch between the registry's SID for the user profile. Has anyone else experienced this issue? We are desperate for answers; this is worse than any virus as its random intermittent nature will return after a fresh system restore. I've received a call from another organization stating they are seeing the same issue occur throughout their deployment. I believe this is now a wide-spread issue. We have a ticket opened with the Microsoft on this. Windows Performance Team is reaching out to Azure Team.Solved27KViews0likes52CommentsHow do I customize and search user attributes?
I am on tenant obtained vai https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program . I am evaluating Microsoft Search. I was able to create custom connector, crawl data source and show search results in a new vertical. I would like to accomplish the following - Search people in organization by phone #/ extension and few other attributes - To be able to do partial(wildcard) search on Address and personal details which are updated in Users profile. Able to search with exact word like complete mobile number though. My web history today is full of MSDN links. I found this, but I didn't find the relevant settings mentioned in the article in M365 Admin portal. Any help is appreciated. Hello. I'm aware there're many threads about SharePoint user profile pictures not showing in different ways. We've been facing an issue which I couldn't find a solution nor fix it myself. We're using Exchange Online and set user profile photos with a scheduled PowerShell script via Set-UserPhoto. This works as intended and the photo is showing everywhere, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Delve etc. The only place where it doesn't show is in the SharePoint user profile service's user profile. You know, the /_layouts/15/tenantprofileadmin/ProfAdminEdit.aspx in the SharePoint admin center. The mysite collection where these pictures are supposed to be hosted contain the LThumb, MThumb and SThumb thumbnail placeholders but not the actual photos. As far as I understand the logic is that when using EXO a user has to browse his Delve profile page which will trigger a sync to the SharePoint user profile - not so for us. I've experimented with the two settings that should have an effect on this sync mechanism: - SPS-PictureExchangeSyncState - SPS-PicturePlaceholderState As far as I interpret those settings SPS-PictureExchangeSyncState means that unless this is enabled not photos can be pulled from EXO and an admin has to manually upload a photo in the user profile service. SPS-PicturePlaceholderState I think indicates whether or not a picture has been set if it's 0 and set if it's 1 but I'm not sure if it's the other way around. Anyway, apart from manually setting the picture here it's not pulling from EXO. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate your comments. I'm having trouble finding out property mappings from local AD via Azure AD landing in the SharePoint Online User Profile Service. For example, how would I track down what the equivalent property of the SharePoint Online User Profile Service property "People:SPS-Location" is in Azure AD as well as local AD? We're using Azure AD Connect to sync user objects to Azure AD which in turn get picked up by the SharePoint Online User Profile service. Thanks for your advice.1.2KViews0likes0Comments
