Teams Live Events
7 TopicsIs Teams Live the same as Teams Webinar?
Hi there, I'm setting up a live presentation to approximately 1000 members of staff, and would like to use Teams Live Event but in my meeting options, I only have the Webinar option. Are they essentially the same thing with the same functionality? ThanksSolved1.7KViews0likes2CommentsNDI usage in "Live Events" for Teams
Hi! I am super happy with the implementation of NDI in Teams, it's a great way to amp up production quality. Now in one case, we are having more than 20 active participants/panelists. Will it be possible to use the NDI stream output for the Live Events as well? The Live Events producer lacks some settings, I'm not 100% sure if that is due to admin policy or just me looking in the wrong place. For example I haven't found the option to host a Q&A or vote in the Producer View. The idea is to invite 22 people as contributors in the Live Event, capture their camera input and display them on a large video wall for the local participants. Best case Scenario would be using NDI for independent outputs. Worst case: I need to stream the main event screen to said video wall. But I would really like the large wall to be filled with all participants. The up and downstream capacity should not be an issue, since we're well connected. Thanks!Solved12KViews1like8CommentsWays to ignore Chat and notification sound during Teams live event
Hello Everyone, I know many of you are already hosting Teams live events but might have heard different types of notifications sounds during the live events. This can very be distracting, unprofessional or disturbing. Please find some important ways to ignore these dings and pings sound during the event: 1. Go to the settings of your Teams Client and choose your status to DND (Do not disturb), by doing that you will not hear any ping sound while receiving any message , though you will be receiving all the messages from others but silently. Checkout the below screenshot as a reference : 2. Second way , If you go the right bottom corner of your system's task bar and hit the notification center and click on the below icon shown in the screenshot and set it to PRIORITY only , you could actually avoid the unexpected sounds from your system during the event : 3. And the last way would be , go to the start menu of your windows and type FOCUS ASSIST , open the setting and choose PRIORITY ONLY I hope this will help you to produce the events more efficiently. Hi I was looking for some advise. We run regular Teams live events. The last couple have exceeded attendance figures of over 2500 attendees and once it goes over these amounts we start to have issues were users get kicked out and struggle to re join and it also knocks people out of regular Teams meetings at the same time. Our internal network teams have investigated everything internal and can’t find any issues. We have raised several tickets to Microsoft but we are getting stuck in sending various logs with little response. We had one that it happened to today that had nearly 5000 attendees. Anyone had any similar issues or any suggestions?7.8KViews0likes5CommentsTeams Live Event Links not going to live event when Teams is closed
Hi there, In the company I work for we've noticed a slight issue with Teams when it is completely closed. If you click on a Teams Live Event link without Outlook when Teams is completely shut, Teams will open but it doesn't take you to the Live Event, its either the last place you were in Teams or another random place. Has anybody else experienced this or knows of a potential resolution? Many thanks, Joe2.3KViews0likes5CommentsMicrosoft TEAMS Live Event- Guest Presenter
I invited an outside person to be a presenter for a LIVE event. When she clicked the "join now" link, it told her she needed permission to join as a presenter. I set up the event and was the producer, however, I never got any sort of notification or any mechanism to grant her permissions. Anyone else have this problem and (more importantly) how to get her to be able to join?Solved2.2KViews0likes4Comments
