SharePoint loading blank page; Modern SharePoint sites not loading with error
Our users have been having quite a few issues off-late on SharePoint online. We are on Office 365 and use SharePoint online. We are on first release too. 1) SharePoint loads a blank page <tenant-name>.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx <- this site It loads absolutely blank page. no error. no nothing. this happens with a few users. not sure how many yet. 2) SharePoint modern sites dont load. Some do. Some don't. I haven't been able to identify any pattern. Again quite a lot of users affected. Not sure how many. Every time we navigate to any of the modern sites we get the follow error. Sorry, something went wrong Can't load the application on this page. Use the browser Back button to retry. If the problem persists, contact the administrator of the site and give them the information in Technical Details. TECHNICAL DETAILS Error details: Error: SPFx loader is not present in the page. This issue has been very random. It works one day then it doesn't another. It works in morning then it doesn't in evening. Weird. Currently, I am facing this issue for a few days now. :( I have also raised this as a ticket with Microsoft, but the agent wanted me to download a log keeper app then run the app and make logs etc. Honestly, I was not comfortable to do so and also, don't think I have the time and knowledge of understanding that. It seemed like a big process I had to run. On TechCommunity, I have only seen one or two threads about which are hardly concluding anything. Googling got me a few links on StackOverflow and Reddit etc., but no real solution in any of them. Is there anyone who can help with this? SPFx Web parts - checking user permissions or user is in a group
Hi all, Can anyone point me in the direction of any good samples which cover checking if a user is in a given security group or if a user has a defined set of permissions to access a resource? We have a SharePoint Framework SPFx web part (using REACT) which we need to alter the display of based on whether or not the current user is either a member of specific security group(s) or the user has defined permissions to a given subweb. The defined security groups or subweb's would be configured via the property pane. In this particular case, using search to power the content and provide the security trimming isn't an option. SpFx Helloworld webpart does not show up under modern Page toolbox
Expected or Desired Behavior Upon installation of the app, i can add the webpart to the pages as well Observed Behavior After adding app ,i try to add the app to my page, the app is not showing up in the list of the available apps. Steps to reproduce Follow the steps mention in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/spfx/web-parts/get-started/build-a-hello-world-web-part and created simple helloworld web part Add the .sppkg file in appcatalog and add the app in site Expected behavior After adding app in site, I should able to add the web part on page. Environment details I have two tenants, on test tenant I don't face any issue it is working perfectly fine. But on Production tenant I am facing this issue Your Developer Environment: - Windows 10 Target Environment: SharePoint Online Framework: Node.js v10 Browser(s): Chrome v79 Tooling: VS Code Additional context I am trying to add Modern Script Editor web part from https://medium.com/niftit-sharepoint-blog/add-the-script-editor-webpart-back-to-sharepoint-modern-experience-688a7b7208e4blog but I cant add it on production as I can not see it in web part list after deployment,so I am trying to deploy the simple Helloworld WebPart but I cannot see it as well in web part list on Production Tenant. I ran the current Yeoman SharePoint generator, and got the following ts-lint file in the config directory (with a few minor tweaks added). From what I can tell the trailing-comma rule should be disabled (it's set to false), but it's not. I'm still getting red squigglies when I don't have a trailing comma (see below). That's just one example of a number of tslint scaffolding rules that appear to be ignored. What am I missing?
