Retention Labels
14 TopicsRetention Labels - PowerAutomate integration doesn't support solution flows?
Hi there, As explained in the documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/retention-label-flow, you can now call a PowerAutomate flow when a retention label reaches the end of its retention period, which is great. However, based on my tests, this functionnality does NOT support flows that are part of a solution. It only works for flows created in "My Flows". Am I the only one thinking no serious enterprise would handle a process as big as tenant-wide retention using a "personal" flow created by a random user in "My Flows"? I would rather use a "corporate" flow that is packaged, service-principal-owned and deployed through staging environments using ALM best practices but somehow someone decided that solution flows weren't supported, which makes the functionality useless 😞 Anybody found a workaround to make it work with a solution flow? When I done with the disposition process under records management, but disposed items not appearing in Purview center. Always it is showing as "Failed due to load data. Please try again later". Even after disposition process document is still appearing in SharePoint library (appearing even after 96 hours). What could be the potential reason for this kind of behavior.882Views0likes1CommentAdd a banner in Microsoft Teams
We are planning to implement a retention policy on Microsoft Teams that will automatically delete chats older than XX days. We would like to inform all Teams users about this change and are exploring options for doing so. Is it possible to add a banner within Microsoft Teams to notify all users? We would like the banner to display a message stating that starting January 1st, all chats will be deleted according to this new retention policy.457Views0likes0CommentsRemap existing retention labels on emails
There are tons of emails in multiple users outlook (M365) on which Retention Labels were applied. We've came up with a new set of retention labels now. Is there a script that can remap all the existing labels to the new ones by crawling through these emails? Any help is greatly appreciated! Hello experts, For those who are guns with retention policies and labels I have a challenge for you! In all scenarios I have encountered I can clear a retention label from a document, then delete. This is a problem - in my environment a document always needs a retention label. Context: I operate in a heavily regulated environment, all documents created/uploaded in SharePoint Online are considered records, and require a retention label to be applied (a 'record' requires disposition, thus requiring the retention label). There are different types of records; so there are multiple retention labels published to a location (two are published through a retention label policy, and the default label is done through an auto-apply retention label policy). If I clear the retention label from a document then delete, the document sits in the preservation hold library with no retention label (the auto-apply policy does not 're-label' the document in that location later) - this is a problem. If I create a document, then delete it before the auto-label policy labels the document (up to 7 days), the document sits in the preservation hold library with no retention label (the auto-apply policy does not label the document in that location) - this is a problem. I've tried using a published label as the default label for the document library (via library settings > Apply label to items in this list or library) - I can still clear the label (the option is available when more than one label is available - see below). How can I ensure a retention label is always applied to a document (AND have multiple retention labels available for selection)???? Any insights appreciated.1.1KViews0likes6CommentsHow record managers know which records are got deleted after the end of retention?
After retention period when document is going to delete disposition review will get start and document will get deleted. But after sometime if record manager(not admin) wanted to see that what documents were deleted in past is there any way? If I check in Microsoft Purview there i can see disposition history for a label. But how record manager can see that information without involving admin? Are there any custom solutions available to achieve the same thing? Is it possible to collect signatures from the disposition reviewers? Either OOB or custom or third party integration. Are there any clever methods known to anyone for deleting a large SharePoint library that has retention label applied to all its content? I understand we will have to individually delete each item to empty out all folders before any folder and ultimately the library can be removed. Any other ideas?1.6KViews0likes4Comments
