Collaboration in MS Project
I work for a small but growing manufacturing company that uses MS Project Professional to manage a few hundred "micro-projects" that all compete for resources, etc., at any one time. All the micro-projects are managed in one project file. As the company grows and matures, we are seeing a need to have 3-4 people actively working in the Project file at any one time, as well as an additional 5-6 internal customers that need read-only access to the project data. Is there a collaboration option in MS Project Professional? I don't think so, but would be very happy to be corrected. If not, what are the recommended MS Project versions to allow this level of collaboration? Are the third-party add-ons that can solve this problem? If so, which are recommended? Thank you!
Project Not Launching
Hi All, Not sure if anyone else has come across this yet seems to be a new "Feature" few users have raised a issue where they can't open project files by clicking on the file and opening it, you get the project splash screen and it just stays like that indefinitely The users are open the files from a OneDrive sync and its not a isolated issue 3 people have reported the exact same issue, the workaround I have found at the moment is launching Project by its self and opening the documents from within Project The Project version effected is: 16.0.17126.20132 Hoping this is just a broken MS update that can be patched out sooner rather than later.Print with Microsoft Project to A0 format
Hello, A customer from me has the issue, that he cannot print with microsoft Project on the A0 format. When he wants to have it printed, he has to save it first with 'Print to PDF', and after that, send it with another tool to the printer, to print it at A0 format. He is using Microsoft Professional Project 2016 1. Is it true that Microsoft Project Cannot print on A0 with a real printer? 2. Is there a Microsoft Project version, where this is changed/solved? "We Couldn't Open Your Project"
We have a new licensed user who cannot access a project in the "new" Project. We can add her in as a group member just fine. However, when we attempt to assign a task, we get a pink bar that says, "Couldn't assign resource. Please try again. Correlation ID: 9ff6991b-3508-4488-b271-b54a4ba11ef2." Also, when she attempts signing onto the project via the URL she gets a message stating, "We couldn't open your project" and a Correlation ID of "6489d1c3-aeaa-4346-ad94-ac42ec3e2f2" Any idea what this issue is or how to resolve it?Project Online and Azure DevOps Integration
Any ideas on the plan for Project Online and Azure DevOps integration? The process for TFS to Project Server on prem is no longer supported. Predefined field maps only available connectivity, so not really a solution we can use. How are others replacing the TFSFieldMapping? Thanks!
