Open with Review Mode on Word for the Web
Hello Tech Community, StephenRice and I wanted to reach out and get your feedback on a new feature that is rolling out for OneDrive, SharePoint and Word! We’re excited to release a new capability that allows you to share a Word document that forces recipients into Review mode (where they can make comments and tracked changes only). When users share a Word document, you’ll find a new option in the Link Settings page to enable the Open in Review mode feature. This feature is only supported for Word on the web at this time. Users who open links with these settings in the Word desktop app will see a bar across the top of the client letting them open the file in Word on the web to leave behind tracked changes and comments. Open in Review Mode for Word on the web is currently available in First Release and we’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts! Georges Krinker Senior Program Manager, Word
Missing Edit in Excel option from Excel Online (Shared from Onedrive)
Hello, I have an employee who's sharing an Excel with Macro with edit permissions with a customer (not on our network) and myself (who's on the network). 1. This file does not allow for Editing in Excel for the customer and only in the browser (See screenshot) 2. This file does allow Editing in Excel when I access through our network 3. The file does not allow for Editing in Excel when I access our O365 platform from home. I can't seem to find any documentation on why the Edit in Excel option is missing. Can someone please help? The image below is a little crude. Note the Green box that provides the option to "Edit in Browser" and the Edit in Excel is missing.
Excel tables in PowerPoint - lost links
Hi - I have noticed using embedded tables from Excel into PowerPoint, using O365 (when I embed using OneDrive sync'd libraries) other users are uable to see the embedded tables and then sometimes mine dissappear. Anybody else seen this or know how to embed now?
