- New Outlook - Unable to Block Image DownloadsWhere in the new Outlook do I have the option to block the automatic loading of images for a Consumer O365 account or an Exchange account. In the current full version this is simple to do. In looking at the settings I can find no such option. What I can find is the setting to block external content, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. In the Exchange account I have it set like this Images are being blocked. I see this in the message. Where is this setting? In the consumer account I have it set to what would seem to be even more restrictive. However, all images are getting through. In OWA I have this option This is still not good enough, but why isn't it in the New Outlook as most settings seem to be the same for Outlook as OWA. To be clear MS, for me personally as well as the 25K+ corporate mailboxes I am responsible for will not use the new version until this is resolved.9.6KViews6likes5Comments
- New Outlook: Creating Rules for CC: and Sent Items (Workaround solution)Many users have expressed that they are missing one of Outlook Classic's features: the ability to create rules for sent items. One popular use is automatically moving a Sent item to a designated folder of choice, which reduces the time it takes to handle email. Currently, rules in New Outlook manage received messages in the Inbox. This blog provides details. New Outlook Limitations: Outgoing Message Rules » TRACCreations4E I am happy to share that I finally came up with a workaround solution to add a copy of the message you sent to a folder of your choice. Yes, the original message will remain in the Sent folder, but you don't have to move it manually. This method should hold you over until Microsoft rolls out the functionality for "Sent rules," which has not been added to the roadmap. Watch the full tutorial to discover how you can: Setup your email Use hashtags in your signature line Set up an automatic rule Video: https://youtu.be/guOjz5lHJEY?si=un6jp2afgO-3PAhg Remember, this is a workaround solution. I am also waiting patiently for the Sent Rules functionality. - "New Outlook" on Windows - Unable to add Additional Mailbox folders to the Favourites sectionHi, As per subject, I have changed over to the New Outlook on Windows and used to be able to pin folders from additional mailboxes (Shared mailboxes) to the Favourites section. This enabled me to view inboxes of multiple mailboxes without needing to constantly scroll down and check. The new version no longer gives that option and nests all additional mailboxes under 'Shared with me'. It used to be available on the menu option when right clicking on a mailbox folder:1.9KViews1like2Comments
- New Outlook: Users Say It's Broken—Microsoft response.I had the opportunity to interview Caitlin Hart, the Principal Product Manager for New Outlook, where I asked the challenging questions of frustrated New Outlook users, IT Consultants, and IT developers. We talked about: Is the New Outlook just a wrapper for the web version? Why didn’t Microsoft recreate Classic Outlook from scratch? Why are users forced to switch to the New Outlook app? Why are some users still resistant to adopting the New Outlook? When will New Outlook meet the needs of power users? How is Microsoft encouraging VBA developers to stay ahead? And more Watch the video for Caitlin's responses. Video: https://youtu.be/5WYjmzrOZI8 #traccreations4e-p25 4/26/2025621Views0likes3Comments
- New outlook affecting colour of top bar in SharepointWe have tested this on a few users but if you upgrade to the new Microsoft it updates the top bar in SHAREPOINT to blue (previously a customised colour in the default theme). If I check the theme it is still as configurered in global admin. Outlook is overriding this theme. A fix for Microsoft.394Views0likes0Comments
- Outlook shared calendar not reflecting correct timesHello, Our team utilizes the Microsoft Bookings App to manage studies. We instruct team members to update their shared calendar in Outlook with their working hours which we then copy into the Bookings App. The issues is that the shared calendar times that we see are rarely aligned with the times entered by the clinicians (Especially when using the old vs. new Outlooks) , so we cannot trust the shared calendar as a viable source for their working hours. Has anyone experienced similar issues with shared calendars?180Views0likes1Comment
